Thanks JWB, I was in the Airborne Regiment here in Canada, yes it was the CT1 and the CT2 with toggle control, I started again last summer, and will contiue this summer with much more experience, I have been talking with so many people and they have been very helpful. I like the new style the folks are doing these day, and the equipment.... well has it changed?

All the best JWB

John

Hi JT,

It seems to me there is a fair bit of good talent here on this news group, I appreciate everyones input, as I am truly new at the sport, I can't really count what I did years ago as it was a military thing, but the disapline is still there. Where do most of you all jump, I live in Ottawa Ont. which is about 45min north of the US border, we have few DZ's here but kinda small and the one I started at has only one aircraft and it gets fairly packed on weekends, is there anything in up state new york that would be a bit more accomodating?

Well, Skydive Burnaby has a twin otter and just across the border into New york is: http://www.frontierskydivers.com
I plan to go there in Spring.
Check in on DROPZONES above here on your screen.
It's a listing of ALL DZs.

DUDE!!!!

Burnaby, although probably one of the funnest and most scenic DZ in Ontario, is a good 6-7 hours from Ottawa.... Fun for boogies though!!!!!

Skydive Gananoque is about 1.5 hours away. It's a cessna DZ but they run a 206 for tandems and students and a MINT 182 (to 12,500 in 20 mins) for licensed jumpers. They usually bring in an Otter on long weekends over the summer. Definitely worth the drive from Ottawa. It's got a great family feel and cool facilities.

It's my home DZ. Can you tell?
