Newbie about to experience Culture Shock

Recommended Posts

Hi Everybody:
I just finished my first summer of skydiving, and my company is moving me to Louisianna. I am going to miss my DZ buddies in Canada. I think it is going to be a big culture shock to move south, and I am hoping to hook up with a skydiving place where people are fun and friendly. I am also hoping for a bigger plane someplace. Any suggestions are appreciated!

Naw, Louisianna is just like Canada...just without the snow, the hockey, the moose, the elk, the bears, and with swamps, humidity, heat, cajuns, spicey (very good) food, and Mardi Gras. So it'll be basically no different.:P

SD Moss Point might be near you depending on where in LA you are, there's a new DZ, SD New Orleans...quite a few folks from both post here.

Welcome! You might have to get used to the culture shock, but i'm sure the change in weather will be a positive one!
