The case is closed. They got off with a polite hand slap from what I hear.

Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely and in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "Holy sh1t...what a ride!"

I believe it was a $300 fine (Canadian!) :P and the cost of their lawyer.

And they probably won't jump there on a Sunday morning again...

Just gotta say.

I saw the video today.

Funnier than hell.

'oops, sorry about tearing off your gutter and landing on your hood of your car...'

Haven't based yet, but there are some bad ass exit points up here. Pointy mountains and all.

I suspect that the Vancouver locals who saw their object burned in broad daylight by out-of-town jumpers too unconcerned to take basic security precautions durning their jump probably didn't think it was quite so "funny."

Just thought that was worth pointing out. . .

But this, surely, was the glory that no spirits, canine or human, had ever clearly seen, the light that never was on land or sea, and yet is glimpsed by the quickened mind everywhere.

See Gardner after class if you flunk.

hmm yah.

It wasn't really burned, they jumped from there hotel room balcony.

But, yeah he felt bad about it, and doesn't plan anymore downtown daylight base jumps.

I know them. Why are you interested in talking to them?

Please feel free to take this conversation to PM's if the information you're after is about specific jump sites.

This is a pretty old thread.

It's not suitable for public discussion. ;)

Anyway, I walked by that place tonight and holy crap is that ever one of the most advanced sites I have seen. Lightyears beyond anything I'll ever be capable of doing. At least it is these days. Wires everywhere.

So much for that plan...

If somebody in the base community can make C++ compile a little faster, I promise I'll spend less time visiting these boards and stop reading the archives.

Thanks Dexterbase! When are you finally going to grace Canada a visit?

Man... soon hopefully. We've been so busy lately.

Want to come down and do some rope jumps with us? There's a nice bridge close-by that we can rope jump all night and then do a BASE load at dawn!
