Birdman Skyflyer 3

Recommended Posts

I'm dusting off the rust... been gone for a few years. I'm going to slowly get back in to the sport. I'm just curious how the Birdman Skyflyer 3 compares to current suits with similar wing area. Is it still a viable suit for flocking?

Has there been any information or bulletins put out on the Skyflyer 3 in the past 6 years I need to know about?

Thanks

Scott

In a skyflyer3 its more than doable to make jumps past 2 minutes.
Most flocks these days barely make it to the 2 minute mark.

With a bit of manly flying, you shouldnt have too big an issue (depending on where and with who you jump).

I still fly my Skyflyer S6 and it is fine for flocking and anything except ultra slow forward and vertical at the same time.
New suits have more range bit the S6 and the S3 do fine at real flock speeds.
Working to be the last flyer on a birdman suit. ;-)

Who also flies a tony suit.

Indeed! Shame, isn't it, that so many can't flock and get high performance at the same time.:|

I did 2:45 in a S3 when I had like 100 wingsuit jumps. Years later I rarely ever go for time, but I tried once in a P2 and got... 2:45. Tried in a Venom and got... 2:45. Tried in my new G3 and got... 2:45. :S I'm stuck apparently!

Funny thing is, just screwing around on an acro 2-way my first jump in the G3 we did 2:30. I think staying on my belly for too long my performance starts to deteriorate. Next time I try a long solo I will flip over every 45 seconds, like cooking a pancake. B|
