  1. I gotta ask, what altitude when you chopped? Didnt look to be much time from reserve opening to landing..
  2. This really sums it up for me too. I'm just not ready to be in a rocking chair, wishing I would have done more in life..
  3. And now an Octoberfest Boogie: Oct 28, 29, 30th...
  4. you were exactly right. Still avail, but not popular enough to list online as an option.. thanks!
  5. I'm looking for a loop style cutaway handle instead of the pillow style and cant seem to find one. I know Javelyn containers made them before, but I dont see it as an option on current containers and dont see it anywhereonline.. Are they still sold by anyone??
  6. Roger that, Thanks! I can't believe how much things have changed. Lots of newer, redefined gear options and the days of 11.00 to altitude and 7.00 hop and pops are gone... Gotta spend your $ on something, right?
  7. Ouch, I take it that's a joke but I guess my "sense of humor meter" is a bit off... If serious, just avoid jumping in MO, TN, IA and IL and our paths wont cross..... I was the Jump Pilot for the suicide at the 1st drop zone. It was a little tough to deal with (both the loss and the FAA), but you move on. The 2nd drop zone closed when their 206 caught fire at 2.5-3k and no one got out. The plane crashed upon landing and all 6 perished (including John Schuman, mentioned many of times on this board). I was not in attendence that day when it happened, but 3 funerals in 3 days was tough as well.
  8. Was a Jump Pilot for 2 different drop zones from 1991-1998. Had 281 jumps and my "D" License before I walked away from Skydiving and Flying, due to accidents at both drop zones. Now, with a kid in college and my youngest turning 18, I decided to get back into the sport as the 18yr old wanted to make a Tandem skydive soon after her 18th BD. At the least, I thought it would be nice to at least be with her in the plane for the ride up and be in the landing area when she gets down. She will be making her 1st jump in 1 week out of a King Air and I'm goning to be smiling all the way... I will soon have a 30,000ft HALO jump as well. This was something on my bucket list for many years back in the day. I've scheduled the HALO jump, I'm paid and ready to go..
  9. Oh dude. No fair. Now I can't exit my apartment. My head is too swelled. Honestly, I am a product of my environment. I've had very good instructors since day one in flying and in flying jumpers. All of my flight instructors at Embry-Riddle '88-'92, Mark Hanson and Scott Corder at Horizon Skydiving Harrisonville, MO, Dave Snyder (rip), Roger Nelson, Mark Bourqhurst (Mr. Douglas), Mark Lamberson. I thank those guys very much. Chris Wow, Never thought I'd see my name on here. Thanks Chris!! Scott
