Find a local pilot who might be interested in some fun jumping.Life is short ... jump often. -
But, who are you ? We don't know your name, where you jump, your experience. Did you give him full payment ? Money talks and........you know the rest.Life is short ... jump often. -
QuoteThis brings up a point that is of interest to me since I am about to take a coach course (and I will be sure to ask about this scenario!). I know that a coach is not trained, nor supposed to, pull for someone. But if a coach is on a jump with someone who has obviously frozen up, is he/she required to back off and depend on an AAD to save their locked up student? If the coach DOES move in and pull for the student, would their rating be pulled?
QuoteIf you jumped as a coach and the other jumper hit the plane and got knocked out, wouldn't you try to chase them and deploy for them considering altitude.......coach or not ?

You should be aware that you will owe a pint of Guinness Stout to everyone who has helped you. So basically everyone at the dropzone.

All this time I thought that was the story, but you are right. Bill started "The Parachute Center" in Utah in 1964, then moved west in 1977. Then opened at Acampo in 1981.........You learn something new everyday. Thanks.Life is short ... jump often.

Wingsuit jumpers may fly a mile or more out to the side of the line of flight of the jump plane, on either side, and are very hard to see. Some may stay in flight up to 3 to 4 minutes before opening their parachute.Life is short ... jump often.
At 47 years, not the oldest, but "The Parachute Center" has been open awhile ( since 1964 ).Life is short ... jump often.

Anyone ever get slammed like this on their velo here? Have about 200 jumps on a xaos 98 never a hard opening and jump a buddys velo 96 to see how it compares, wham. still hurting now. We swapped risers/dbags,pilotchutes all comparably the same size. The rsl hook up was opposite riser thats what came loose in the jump from where it was stowed. pitched at 46 secondsish in the video and opened very fast there after. Any thoughts what caused it.
Packed it like normal. brakes stowed, Counted nose, flaked, quartered slider, wrapped tail 4 times or so and in the bag she went. Definetly pitched pretty shortly after tracking expecting it to maybe steer around a bit but if the opinion is openings at faster are better wtf? shoulda hop n poped first i guessQuoteAt 42 secs. you were still facing your buddy. At 46 secs. your canopy was open.......Doesn't seem like enough time to slow down for opening.

Don't forget to make it routine to re-stow the tabs and physically spread the slider out into a full square first, before packing again.Life is short ... jump often.

We lost a great friend when Lieve left us. She was friendly, outgoing, and adventurous.

Totally agree ! I had a total on jump 15 and by golly I pulled that reserve right now !!! ( had a Sentinel on ). My T-10 then came out hanging below me and I chopped it immediately. My 2 cents.QuoteCan two rounds out play nicely together, or do you need to cut away ?
