  1. Hi guys, does anybody have a manual for Mayday reserve from Parachute De France? parachutemanuals.com and purchased DVD with "all manuals" aren't aware about this "creature"....
  2. the new trainer: now you can try to land in real wind conditions. http://paramonoff.net/approach.html
  3. In order to learn some basics of Google Earth API I’ve made a small simulator for training you ability to find the Destination Point of your canopy flight. In order to use it you need the Google Earth plug-in installed in your browser. If you don’t have it, download it here. http://www.google.com/earth/index.html How to use it: 1. Select some DZ (or funny place) from drop-down combo. 2. Press “Start exercise”. Trainer will put you in some random location near your DZ and simulate the return flight in direction to DZ with random wind and speed conditions. 3. Scratch your brain and try to understand to where you’re going. Mouse-click this point. 4. See if you were right or not. Start another exercise. Here is the simulator: http://paramonoff.net/index.html If you like to see your home DZ in the list, keep here the Google-maps link to it. Have a fun… update: thanks for correction.
  4. I am quite new to rigging. What I saw - are few cases, when slinks on reserve were not sewn. Well, probably it's more question of "religion", but I believe, that if manufacturer says "it must be sewn", then it must be sewn. Another case: Month ago I've got for assembly one rig with very old container, where the chest belt was replaced. The replacement was done with wrong thread and some strange sewing pattern. The container was not packed before and I refused to pack it as well. That's why it can't be considered as rigger error... at least at that time, when I got it.
  5. Well, beside of that strange modification - was it considered to be complete and ready to jump? Where is the opposite part of the chest belt?
  6. I've contacted manufacturer and they scanned for 2 pages of old manual, related to the difference between old and new containers (flap 2 of reserve container is different). Probably, it would be not bad adding them to the ParachuteManuals.
  7. Thanks for your proposal, Rafael. This manual is just a "nice to have" item for me. Not "must have". So far it will not worse your effort for doing this.
  8. Hi guys. Just got the rig for I&R with Atom, manufactured in 1995. In the current manual, which can be found on www.parachutemanuals.com, rigger library CD or manufacturer WEB site, the modern container looks little bit different. Does anybody has the manual for early atom's (1995)?
