  1. A doctor at the ER told me yesterday that I could never jump again. Funny how people that don't skydive think they know what it does to you. Also funny that I hurt myself PACKING this time, not skydiving. It's only 1 disk I need repaired (C7/T1) so maybe mine won't take an entire year to heal. Anyway, I really appreciate you telling me your story, thanks. It gives me hope. And I'll definitely do the physical therapy. Great advise. :) Shannon
  2. I'm pretty sure I'll need spine surgery in the next month or so and I was wondering if anyone out there has had this before and still been able to skydive. If so I'd like to know what you went through, how long it took before you could jump again, etc. Thanks. Shannon
  3. That's too bad! I need one by December 1st.
  4. Thought I'd ask my skydiving buddies if you think this is a good place to look for a new roommate in San Francisco. Hopefully another skydiver cause the wuffos I live with now don't understand me...

OK, it's so easy to see what this dream means. Clearly your conscious and subconscious are battling because of your deep need to skydive and lack of gratification and it's permeating all aspects of your life. The fact that you haven't done it in a while and have no near future ability because of weather have misled your subconscious into believing that your ability will not be there when you finally get to jump. The invitation to join the record breaking 9 way is obviously your persona divided into 2. One that wants to be an awesome skydiver and knows it will be and the other which doubts your skills because of your lack of activity in this joyous sport. There's a need to be wanted somewhere in there as well. The uh suits being worn have to signify the coming holidays and your disinterest in them because of your obsession with skydiving. Twilight suggests that you're already dreaming of night jumps even before they are an issue for getting your d license... Or twilight signifies the winter closing in on you giving you a bleak outlook. Could be either of those. The fact that everyone was uh missing the suits later on shows that in truth you know that everyone at the drop zone wants to have sex with you. Oh, and your instructor wants to have sex with you too. OK, I'm full of shit. You're probably thinking about skydiving before your falling asleep and it's giving you wild dreams. This happens to me all of the time! I used to have terrible nightmares and it would really freak me out but eventually I stopped stressing about them and they turned into fun dreams. Try playing with it and thinking about your skydives as you fall asleep. Focus on doing everything right instead of worrying about doing everything wrong. See yourself succeed and you will succeed when you start back up again. Then again you could just take a weekend trip to Jersey...
  7. Hi everyone. I'm actually the person that got hit by the water balloon and just for the record: I DID get hit by the balloon and it didn't hurt at all I had just landed and was trying to get my gear and get out of the way as fast as I could. It was totally my fault for landing so close to the target so there really isn't anyone to blame but myself. My canopy was over my shoulder at the time which is probably why it did so much damage. The PD rep that was there was nice enough to let me demo a Specter the next day (thank you again!!) PD just got back to me and told me it would be around $165 for a whole new cell replacement so it's not as bad as everyone thinks.
  8. I'm thinking San Francisco myself since that's where I am AND we have many great DZs all within a few hours of each other. Lodi yayaya! Byron, fun people but the owner needs an attitude adj. Santa Rosa Monteray Davis Hollister Cloverdale and that's just a partial list of Northern California. anyway, looking forward to meeting you!
