  1. Thanks to everyone for your input. I still am not sure what to do. I sure have learned a lot about the disease! Very insignificant physically. But very impactful socially. And thank you to Skymama for moving this thread for me. I really appreciate it. And for the record, I don't do pity lays. And I really only date someone if there is some long-term potential. That's not to say I'm anxious to get married and want a husband. Just that I don't see the point in a relationship if you know it won't last. My intentions are good. :)
  2. I posted this last night in the women's forum, but only got a few responses. This is really a hard decision. Facts tell me one thing, stigma tells me another. From what the facts state it would seem I MUST have already been with someone who has herpes and didn't even know it! Is this all really just a big nothing or something to run the other way from? (And for the record, he's not a skydiver and as far as I know doesn't know about this site.) Here's my other post: I just met a guy.... we've only gone on a few dates, but he seems super neat and I like him. Well, last night he confessed to me that he has herpes. I'm not quite sure what to think. He asked me to research it and gave me some links to some sites. He stressed that it's really not that bad of a thing and that the worst part of having it is the stigma. And from what I read, that's true. But the stigma IS really bad and what if I get it and things don't work out? Has anyone here ever dated someone with herpes? Anyone here have it and have some input for me? Please PM me if you're not comfortable posting. How common is this? I have heard 1 in 4, I have heard more than that, but this is the first time I've ever met someone who actually has it. Would love some advice, guidance, etc. Help!

  4. "they're" should be "their" See? Isn't that completely annoying?
  5. Are you kidding me? Now I have to remember the color of everyone's gear?! Ridiculous. First of all - not at all practical. We're all gonna discuss gear on EVERY jump and try to remember it?! Secondly, ANY canopy that is open in or near my space REGARDLESS OF COLOR is a concern of mine. And if you don't want it to be personal, you might think twice before spell-correcting others' posts when it is totally irrelevant.
  6. Gee, how very sweet of you.
  7. Don't look for what you CAN wear that will make you faster - figure out how bare you are willing to go. I did 225 in a headdown wearing just shorts and a little top. I'm a small thing and wasn't even trying to go fast! Give it a shot - you'll make lots of friends that way too!
  8. Try Windline suits at Lake Wales, FL. Billy is the greatest! Excellent quality, very attractive product, unbelievable price!! - and they are the coolest and nicest people around! (863) 678-1003... and Happy Birthday!
