  3. HI there! Yes, I will be posting the competition results, and pics as they come in. The weather just cleared up enough for jumping (we had the remnants of the big storm pass by yesterday). The competition rounds of Accuracy and 2 rounds of 4-way are planned for Friday. Looks like the weekend will be brilliant weather!

  5. Who says we are off our rocker? Skydive Cross Keys welcomes back a whole bunch of skydivers who can hit a rocker every time! The Parachutists Over Phorty Society returns this year with the 2005 National Championships. Events include 4-way scrambles, Accuracy, and, of course, Hit 'n Rock!
The Boogie starts Monday, and competitors should plan to arrive by Thursday.
Evening activities include trips to Philly and Atlantic City! For more information please email us at [email protected]

  6. The first jump tandem skydives are sponsored by Red Bull. Some lucky few lurkers who show up very, very, very early in the morning and get on the waiting list may be able to jump in place of Red Bull guests who cannot make it out. Anyone interested should be prepared to come out at 6-6:30 or so (we start at 4:30), and wait out the day for the opportunity of a free jump. If it should happen that you don't get to jump, and you have waited all day, you are welcome to the after-party, also fully sponsored by Red Bull. It will be a blast!

  7. Hi there:

The skydiving center is located in a nice little municipality with lots of restaurants, movie theaters, and shopping within 5 minutes.
Open every day, we fly a Skyvan, Super Otter, Caravan, and even a turbine Chopper when available!
Hotels and motels are close by, free camping is available on-site, and we have a shower house and bathroom for campers.

  8. All licensed jumpers in the Northeast are invited to share a fun day of cheap lift tickets at Skydive Cross Keys this Monday! You can be on the sunrise load, and jump all day for $15 per lift ticket!

The first load will be wheels up at 5:30 am, and the discounted lift tickets are good all day until sunset.

Fun jumpers are welcome to join us for a party in the evening too, with music, food, and beverages. For more information, feel free to email [email protected].

  9. This coming Monday, Freefall Adventures at Skydive Cross Keys will be starting early. REAL early.
With a 4:30 am start, they will attempt for the first time anywhere to train and jump with 300 tandem students in one day! This will be a Guinness, official world record. The Freefall Adventures unofficial record from last year was 212 on a regular Saturday, so 300 is well within reach with an early start.

Most of the new jumpers are Red Bull employees enjoying a gift from Red Bull. They are flying in from all over the country to participate.

For other new jumpers who wish to participate, they can lurk a slot starting at 6:30 am. If any of the hourly Red Bull slots become free, they might just get to jump for free! If not, the lurkers who stick it out for the entire day are welcome to attend the evening festivities, also sponsored by Red Bull.

The previous record recognized by Guinness is 128 tandem jumps in one day, achieved at Target Skysports in Hibalstow, England.

For more information, feel free to email [email protected].

  15. Hi there:

You are very welcome to check us out at Freefall Adventures before you make a decision. I think you will find a very friendly and professional environment. The instructors and office staff will go out their way to get you in the air as fast as possible and give you a really great first jump experience.

There was a comment about waiting, but nowadays, that happens only in poor weather, which would be the same anywhere. Since BendyWendy was here we have brought in even more high caliber instructors, and most of the time, even on weekends, progressing students have plenty of opportunity to jump without much waiting.

I hope you get in touch with us! You can reach us at [email protected], or at 856-629-7553 any day after 11 am. Can't wait to meet you in person!

  16. Schedule addition!
I just heard from the Monroe Twp Rescue Squad that they are repeating last year's very cool demonstration of a high rescue. It is quite spectacular to see them lift a person down from a height using all the Fire Company equipement! Try to make it to this one if you can!
