Little Kids Kicking A** in the Wind Tunnel

http://broadbandsports.com/node/17808 What do you think about starting your kids off early in the tunnel so they have plenty time logged before they ever drop? -
There are a few basic training videos that I found were nice and helpful to watch from home when first starting out. Here is an example- instruction on a barrel role: http://broadbandsports.com/node/28923 The name of the company that does them is expert village

Is it taking away from the jump?

Good point.. I think it really takes awhile to figure out exactly what you like/ enjoy the most. I think that can also change over time -

The dropzone in that video isn't next to some tropical paradise, either. That dropzone is in CANADA! It's my home dropzone - Skydive Burnaby, just by the northern shores of Lake Erie and the team in question is Stratosfear who were former Canadian National champions. HAHA ok ok well maybe not "tropical" Maybe its time to look into new things.. -

http://broadbandsports.com/node/27403 What does everyone think of team skydiving/ competing like this? I watch this video and think that these guys (or girls cant tell for sure) are missing out on how amazing the scenery is. My DZ isnt right next to some tropical paradise and I STILL love just soaking it all in. Now I dont have a ton of jumps under my belt, but I cant imagine it getting boring. Does it ever lose its edge? Do you need something to do on the way down? Do you start having to find other things to make it fun after so many jumps? -
Actually you're very wrong. There are records of it happening. I assumed there had to be, sh*t happens and there have been a lot of jumps over time. Any stories? urban legends? about anything like this..
-
are there any records of a tandem jump without the second being harnessed? Like maybe one persons chute wouldnt open?? Would it be possible to hold on with the right grip?

bbs3232 replied to mxcale's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Is that like a fetish or something?? -
sounds like the picture you saw could have definitly been one of the first tandems.. That 5 year old didnt even look nervous and definitly would have had a better idea of what was going on then a two year old..
-
thats interesting, it does have to be a fun experience jumping with your kid. I would want them to be a little older than two tho so they could enjoy it!!
-
thats kind of what i am saying.. should someone else make that decision for them? you dont see anyone shoving a marble up their kids nose..
-
thanks! ill do my research next time
