  4. Ok, crunch time chaps and chapettes. I need your serious opinions. My Vector slot has come and my colour order is submitted tomorrow. I thought I was settled with my choice, but I've had some directions from peeps that have put me in a spin. So, I throw it out to you. I have 3 options to pick. On other news, boy.. the ZPX fabric colours crappy for a Pilot. Cheers! www.exoticbodypiercing.com.au
  5. So, the lesson to the story is.. Dropzones can be snobby and favour the rigs they all wear. That Dolphins are just fine as a good basic container, with a good price tag and good for a student jumper especially since they may not be in the sport too long. So, leave new Dolphin alone, other than being called Dolphin (which I think is the funny part), I mean Shark!, Stingray, swordfish are more hardcore sounding sea dwellers which the container could have been named. :D It's not a laughing matter if it gets you in the plane. I feel kinda goofed getting my Vector due to hype and peep pressure. Man, and I thought I was a strong minded individual and not a gear whore. x www.exoticbodypiercing.com.au
  6. I don't mean to start a war. I was asked why on another thread I steered a A licence jumper away from a Dolphin. The reason being, Dolphins are laughed at in my local DZ and other Aussie DZ's. I didn't want the new jumper to get potentially laughed at. The big question is WHY? Why are Dolphins laughed at.. Is it because its called a Dolphin? I vaguely remember something about deployment. www.exoticbodypiercing.com.au
  7. I am about to land 100 jumps, so I'm still fairly a baby to the sport. My suggestion is buy secondhand, make sure it fits, that its not too old and has been checked over by a rigger. It really doesn't matter which rig you choose (except don't get a Dolphin). In the first 300-400 jumps you will get good use and downsize of a secondhand container that's in good shape. When you leave college you can afford the very best and fitted to you, when you are a more experienced jumper to appreciate it. My CI says as long as it opens and does the job, any container is good, because all containers have pro and cons. Choose comfort! I have ordered an Vector, because it was brainwashed into me by friends (peep pressure) but my first choice was a Icon. The turn around time on the Icon is 3 weeks while the vector is 22. I had to get mine built because our sport is full of tall men and not curvy women, so secondhand wasn't an option. Buy a good secondhand rig to start. Vector, Icon and Jav are my top choices, but all will do the job ;) Good luck. www.exoticbodypiercing.com.au
  8. Thanks Jarhead. Anyone else?? www.exoticbodypiercing.com.au
  9. Hey everybody, Anyone used the Atomic Cookie helmet yet? what you reckon? and Have you used it without the padlock for general flying? Does it actually kill two birds with one stone by giving you a camera and normal helmet setup? I was thinking getting an ozone, but I later on want to get a camera setup, so would the Atomic cover both? www.exoticbodypiercing.com.au
  10. Awww, is it my Roller derby, Human angle grinding or piercing that frightens you?? or the fact I could do all of these things on your ass and through you out the plane!!! Muhahahaaa!!! www.exoticbodypiercing.com.au
  11. Agreed. Just paid for my Vector from Gary. What a great guy.. friendly, professional and honest. I'll get a demo to use in March til my rig is ready in June, I mean how awesome is that!! Will keep you posted on my progress. I like the confidence I have even when I'm on the other side of the country. Dealers need to learn from this guy. Customer service + reasonable price = happy customers!!
  12. Ok, I'll check it out, I already got the helmet.. I'm upgrading from my Gath ,which fit my solo. Hope it doesn't lead to super glue www.exoticbodypiercing.com.au
  13. Anyone know?? www.exoticbodypiercing.com.au
  14. I know this has probably been asked before. I've bought a second hand SkySystems NVertigo helmet, the one with the ridges. How does one attach the Audibles? Is there a bracket or something? I own a Solo. I just don't want it falling off, and I don't like the idea of cable ties and gaffer. Cheers. www.exoticbodypiercing.com.au
