  1. Wow, thank you both for the info. I am so looking forward to this trip.^..^< for me -- SkyDiving is a life sentence -- for it has saved my life.
  2. Can you please give me some info about the "bunk house" as far as the difference in price and "conveniences" from the motels. What does the bunkhouse furnish or what would you bring next time? Is it clean, much noise, lockable for your stuff -- and so forth. There will be three of us flying in to Phoneix and renting a car in April for the "5 day camp" and I'm not sure if we should do a motel or ???? The camp starts on Wendsday but we will arrive on Sunday and may try to get into the tunnel a little early so anyone else have any idea's / info or suggestions, please post, as this is our first time going there. (crap, did I say "first"?) Thanks for the help Steve M >^..^< for me -- SkyDiving is a life sentence -- for it has saved my life.
  3. ..... yea, I know how that feels. This is my third Christmas holiday season "alone" -- but yuh know something, -- this year I finally made a kind of "peace with the past" and moved on with my life. I can't believe how happy I've been this past week -- just looking forward to this next year. I'm even staying home tonight and not drinking because I have a couple of things I want to do tomorrow. So Moody, I can't give you a kiss in person, but heres a big hug and a promise to you, that 2004 will be your year for happiness
  4. I agree with dove's avatar.......ahh I mean advise. Skydiving will always be there for you, a shot at a degree might not..... (holy smoke's Dove, is that really you? Steve M >^..^< for me -- SkyDiving is a life sentence -- for it has saved my life.

  6. I've decided to go to Eloy for the Christmas holiday boggie(YIPPEEE !!!!) and will leave St.Louis, Mo on the 21st or so. My question is; When I cross the New Mexico border on IH40 and get to Holbrook, AZ. is it better to take Hwy.77 south through "Snowflake, AZ." to Hwy. 60 at "Show Low AZ." and on toward Eloy????? If I stay on IH40 to Flagstaff, then south through Phoenix, it looks a little longer, but all Interstate. Has anyone driven out on Hwy. 60 before? I plan on just taking my time and doing a slow road trip, but I don't know the area / roads / gas stations out there. Any idea's or insight would be appreciated. Thanks...... 7. Ok, so I know that I'm an old guy (50 next March), but I was hoping that there might be a few single ladies in the 42 - 50 year old range that might be interested????? I am house broken, still have all my own teeth and all my parts are in working order. And always remember, old people die sooner and we always leave the "kids" money (unless we spend it all skydiving first) Steve M >^..^< for me -- SkyDiving is a life sentence -- for it has saved my life.
  8. Andrea, I did my first night jump (beer) last night too. I have to admit that on the way up -- I was SCARED, but once out the door, I just realxed. It was so pretty looking at all the lights around the countryside. Alas, I am sorry to say that at the last moment, I chickened out on a stand up landing and just slide in on my butt.....But I'm still in one piece this morning and ready to jump again. So hey, I'll try to do a "stand up" on the next night jump -- next month And like most, I'll be sure glad when that ones done Congrat's on you doing BOTH in one night. "Way ta go lady"^..^< for me -- SkyDiving is a life sentence -- for it has saved my life.
  9. A couple of years ago, and I now forget which Parachutist it was in, but I had given away the first AirAnn.com Fresh Air Award. The young woman who did the tandem was just 18, had given birth 3 months earlier and the child was adopted by a family via the church home she was living in. She worked on getting into college while she was there and she got accepted to a college In Calif. If she never jumps again, Id like to think that on her worst day she can just look at her tandem pictures and remember - If you can jump out of an airplane, you can do anything. It has never been my point for her to remember me, just for her to remember that within herself - she is awesome. *** Wow, I didn't know that you did something like this.

You know that John will always be watching and flying along side of you - forever.^..^< for me -- SkyDiving is a life sentence -- for it has saved my life.
