  1. Wow, this is the first I've heard of this lawsuit Lodi is my home DZ. I finished AFF there about a month ago and just did a few solo jumps there the other day! From what I've seen Bill's a great guy and always seems to focus on safety. For every one of my solo jumps he's had a more experienced jumper go with me to pick out a rig, show me how to inspect it, and know its ready to jump. I've also paid for jumps and had the load shut down so I was given a raincheck. It would really be a shame if they shut down because of this. I've just started getting comfortable at this DZ and there's a lot of great people there. It'd be a shame to force a bunch of adrenaline addicts to go somewhere else to get their fix Plukk
  2. That's a really good idea! I used to dump Cheerios in the toilet and play "top gun fighter pilot" but I got tired of explaining why I was wasting the girlfriends breakfast cereal on going to the bathroom. The fly idea might be worth a shot... Plukk
  3. Not sure where this was at or if this was ever posted, but I thought it was fitting... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dTK-osudoR0 Plukk
  4. I find that it's much easier to just use the sink since it's right at waist level Plukk
  5. Now that i think about it, we didnt go over spotting. For the most part there was just one person at the door doing all the spotting while everyone else just went along for the ride. i'll have to ask my instructor about that next time i go. I was just excited to be exiting the plane doing flips and stuff
  6. If they serve breakfast I'd have to get the Boston Pancake Plukk
  7. I just finished my AFF a few days ago and I only had 1 instructor for all 7 jumps. My only tandem was a week before starting the course just to check the place out. It could be more cost effective for the DZ, especially since my AFF was cheaper than a every other place I looked at. Plukk
  8. wow i just started and i already have a booze debt! i landed so far away because we were dropped pretty far upwind of the LZ and i was the last one out of the plane. this was also the same jump i was having issues with the main canopy opening and twisted lines so it didnt fully open until about 3000ft. when i looked down nothing looked familiar so i had to circle once or twice to get my bearings and that just killed altitude. But im through AFF and might as well bring a case the next few times i go out! Plukk
  9. After a few hard landings (1 put me about 2 miles from the landing area in a vineyard ) and almost having to pull the reserve for the first time with twisted lines and a bag of garbage above my head, I made it through! I can't wait to get out there solo!!! Felt kinda bad cuz everybody at the DZ was really supportive asking how my jumps went each time I came back, and I didnt even bring the beer I had to do 5 jumps that day and we didnt finish until everybody was ready to go home and had stuff to do. They already had brews from a previous student so I didnt feel so bad. I'll have to make sure I bring it when I go back for my first solo on STUDENT STATUS Plukk
  10. LOL How'd you know? nobody likes an easy laydown... theres gotta be a little brutality Plukk
  11. As much as i love the sharkies, you may be right it might very well be a long night watchin the presidents trophy winners lose their 4th straight at home (3rd loss at home in the playoffs) to end their awesome season. Marleau, Thornton and the rest of their blue-liners need to step it up. cant keep relyin on the defense to provide all the offense!! Definately hoping for a comeback. I would love to see a Sharks-Wings series!! Go Sharks!!! Plukk
  12. i'll be doing my aff out of Lodi, CA but im looking forward to jumping at different DZ's around NorCal. my goal is to make atleast 1 jump/week... hopefully more. i dont wanna take 2 years to get my A!! Plukk
