  1. I have had one for about 2 years. Works fine. My argus has been to 30,000 one time and 28,000 feet 6 times. I use it on my tandem for my HALO jumps. Ben H.A.L.O Tandem Master
  2. Mobile Alabama about 10 to 15 lbs. Ben H.A.L.O Tandem Master
  3. I have a 2 old rounds that I am willing to part with. You will need to pick up the shipping. Let me know. Ben Crowell Master Rigger H.A.L.O Tandem Master
  4. If a repair to a harness is not the same as the original design or an excepted standard as approved my the manufacture then, the person doing the repair would be required to get prior approval form the manufacture or the FAA. This would be a written approval if they are smart. H.A.L.O Tandem Master
  5. I have found quite a few rigs that have been pencil packed. examples: One showed it was packed by a rigger who had passed away. One had my name and seal number but the wrong seal. This was a rig that I had never seen. When I opened it up the left line group had the rear lines hooked to the front rissers and front line group hooked to the rear rissers. (might of worked) One a rigger had signed off that he had packed the rig after me but my seal was still on the rig. With PD putting the blocks on the tail of the parachute that you are to put a / through each time you pack. I have found quite a few with no / through. Anyone can miss it once but I have unpacked a reserve that was missing 5 / marks. Did the rig get pencil packed 5 times? If so did that person do it or did the rigger do it and get paid for it? 6. There are some good remarks posted. I started out just watching my rigger pack my reserve. When I wanted my ticket I would seek out the different riggers and ask to assist. I picked up both poynters Manuals and all the other books that are stated in the other postings. Another it the Material sample book. This will help you understand the different material that go into making a rig. To be a good rigger takes a lot of work on your part. I have started training 15 different people who thought they wanted to be a rigger. Only 2 completed. None of these people I charged, but it took a lot of my time for them not to work through it. Wanting to know your gear and how it works is a great start. Lear from all who are willig to go over things with you. I still lear from people even today. If I can help let me know.
