That star has no relation to Skydive San Marcosin Fentress or to Smithville whatsoever. Smithville is 13 miles east south east from Bastrop on Hwy 71...like the VDoo says. That makes it about 35 miles east of Austin-Bergstrom Airport. The Smithville airport is known as Smithville-Crawford Airport. There is a new approximately 5,000 sq ft hangar under construction there. Reportedly two Cessnas will be housed there for the skydive ops. Dennis

Im feeling your pain. Personally I have suggested to sucha student that they look deep inside and ask themselves why and if they really want to continue. Im less concerned about their possible lack of sticking with it than I am recognizing the pure safety issues faced with someone who's "head is not in this game." Bowling is my general recommendation. If not comfortable with head down or other recommendations, try the relative stable movement. Arms way back on your back, arch to get the chest as the forward part of your body and ARCH. Id be cautious about recommending the AFF student turnover to a coach. The first thing I tell my coaching clients is that they are in charge of their jump and as a coach, I will not be there to save them. Dennis
