  1. I'm not trying to hijack the thread, but I'm curious - who sanctions riggers? Is it USPA? Some other org? Or self-sanctioning? What are the requirements for becoming a rigger (ie years in sport, age, eye color, etc? ) It's something I would definitely like to look into in the future, but I am concentrating on the AFF right now - so obviously, not for a while. Thanks for indulging my curiosity... "Once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been and there you long to return." Da Vinci
  2. Who approved this vacation? I didn't get that memo! A'ight, thanks for the replies...I'll see if I can change my schedule so I can be there on the 8th - supposed to be taking a Con Ed class in Emmitsburg... 3. So does anyone know if Chambersburg Skydive Center (Chambersburg, PA) goes into hybernation over the winter? I've sent three emails and left one or two voice mails, trying to find out if they have any events planned for Safety Day? Maybe I'll try to swing by the DZ this weekend, if I can find some free time. Otherwise, any help would be appreciated... 4. My wife and I did our first tandem back in October 2007. I didn't tell my parents because it was an anniversary present to my wife (something she's always wanted to do) and I wasn't sure if mom would let it slip - she's done it before! As soon as we got home, we called all parents, and to my susprise, mom was actually JEALOUS of me for having the guts to go! So it turned out good... 5. Oh yeah, St. C is horrid compared to Saginasty - at least we have crime to keep us on our toes in Saginaw. My brother-in-law is from just outside St. Charles, so I know the area quite well. Birch Run had the potential to be better than it is, they just tried to do everything on the "cheap". Didn't work. Oh well, that whole area is in dire need of some major industrial revolution or something like that to help the economy...anyways, ncie to talk to someone familiar with "the hometown"... 6. Ok, gotta ask - why Saginaw, Michigan. There is NOTHING there. Unless you know somebody, there is nothing there to attract anyone to visit. Maybe Bay City, or Midland (Dow Chemical), but nothing in Saginaw...??? And yes, I know Saginaw - I spent the first 26 years of my life there, born and bred, until I fled for the East Coast.
