  2. Ok, no one really answered my question. Im not new to the sport and was not really looking for pull up cord options. i personally use a pack boy, as Ive been a packer for ten years now and have not only seen the difference on my soft girl hands, but also seen what pull up cords do to closing loops. My question was specifically stated due to the requirement/recommendation by UPT to use spectra to close the Sigma Tandem system. Being that they provide a softer, new style of pull up cord, does the one the company distributes comply?
  3. The UPT pull up cords are made of softer material and do not have rough edges like old style cords. What is the material these are made of? Are they spectra? Can they be used to close the Sigma Tandem system without causing excessive wear like others do?
  4. It has been my experience that you would mark the hole by drawing a circle around it with a laundry marker (so it wont come off) This will make it easier to find, as well as show you if it is getting bigger or not. My2cents. CB
  5. Hi all, if anyone is going to be in San Juan on the 8th of Feb, theres two of us who need a ride to Arecibo from the airport. We both will be there by 2:45. If you could spare the room in your vehicle, that'd be great!
  6. I am planning on going to the Puerto Rico boogie. Anyone out there arriving in San Juan on 8 Feb around midnight? Would like to coordinate a ride from San Juan airport to Arecibo. Public trans or rental are the only options. I CANNOT rent a car...too $$$. Share a taxi? Anyone? Email me direct, not DZ.com [email protected]

***Facts are facts....If you are SAVED by a CYPRES, you should look into other sports. QuoteDamn.... As a full time rigger packer and skydiver, my CYPRES save, in your opinion, was my resignation letter. I think that is a very poor way to view a safety device.
  8. There are plans for a few of the freeflyers from skydive atlanta to attend! Look for Caryn and Lyle!
  9. You'll be better off calling them. Believe me. 303-893-1155
  10. Umm...NO! Why would I do that? I mean think about it...me bring Tim.
  11. Ok, this is totally spur of the moment, but Im headed up to Rantoul and have room in my car for two other people. Im travelling from Skydive Atlanta on Saturday night after all the tandems are packed and leaving Rantoul on Friday Morning...early. If you dont want to drive back down with me thats ok. I just want to have a good time and could use the help with the gas money. Anyone interested please email me at [email protected]
  12. I have a rig in my shop that I cannot find any information on. The packing data card doesnt have any of the rig info on it. Where do I find the DOM and serial # for the dolphin rig?
  13. Hi all, Im looking for a manual for the National Parachute Industries, Mirage container DOM 04/1987. Please help. Thanks, Caryn
  14. Did that say California or Colorado? Does anyone have any more info...I have family in Northern California where these types of wildfires are common. Caryn
  15. Thank you! I love coming in from a nice walk down the taxi way and back... to find a big huge fax waiting for me! I love this sport! Caryn
