  1. for anyone who doubts the wisdom of using seat belts... I was sitting by the door sat. on the way up and at about tree top level the door of the 182 blew open. After restarting my heart, I was sure glad that the jm went by the bsr's. Rick.......

    cypress

I keep reading about cypress's firing at 750'. Is that correct? It would seem that the reserve would have to open very fast at that alt. to be of any good. I must be missing something here. Thanks Rick

  11. Something to think about. Midway airlines is offering $49 flights from RDU to Orlando.
  12. Maybe some more info will be helpful. Had 10 jumps in early 80's S/L prog. No real problems and nothing has changed much except maybe an extra 10 lbs. Because of all the changes in equip. and training I am trying to get a feel for what would be the most effective.
  13. What are the pros and cons of the different student programs especially AFF vs. Tamdem Progression? Thanks Rick
  14. Thanks to every one for their thoughts and opinions. It sounds as if I cannot really go wrong either way. There are merits to both plans. No, I am not mister money bags.lol.. Just ready to do some of the things I wasn't able to earlier in my life. I am glad to here that Louisburg is still in operation. When I was there it was a dirt strip and a soybean patch. I did not even hit the soy beans with that t-10, found an out in the grass. Unfortunatly it was kudzu--- up to my neck. LOL Thanks again, I will be in touch. Rick..........
