We take the hounds to a nice old growth forest close to our house.

The boss and I hung some small discrete plastic skulls from the trees and then every time we go back we try and find them.
Yesterday we were at the trailhead waiting on the hounds and the boss, when I noticed someone had wedged 3 nice Shiney pennies laying flat into the bark of the tree.

We've been going to that trailhead for years, first time we noticed the pennies. Now we get to watch the bark grow around the cash until it's totally covered.

Hey, so I have about 200 freefall jumps and they are all with the military. I used my issued rig which has 193 lightning in it. I am going to start jumping at civilian dropzones on weekends and will need my own rig. I honestly have no idea what container or canopy to get because I just use what uncle sam gives me. I think I will want to get a little bit smaller canopy and something that is easier to pack than the lighting but still flies decently fast. I have saved plenty of money so I was thinking about getting a new container and a used canopy.Any guidance would be great! I am 6' and 178lbs.

A lot of G.I.s coming back from the sand/rock pile have lots cash. Don't waste it, what someone else said about the end of the season is near. Good time to chill and lurk the used gear.

Efficiently packing is over rated. Most places have a wall mart, or its local equivalent.

Driving has its own set of problems, last yr we had to drive over the continental divide in a snow storm. Staying in motels to many IV meth freaks, very few ties, and who know what else. Rooms are like a bio hazard.

I have to fly in 2 weeks back to the Midwest for 2 weeks. I'll do fine, no baggage, only one layer of clothes, credit cards, picture ID , new cash and no cell phone.

I was quite mad at him cause I told him we couldn't do flips in freefall even if we wanted to. He thought he was going to prove me wrong. I just let it all go though. Those people get account flagged incase they show back up for AFF.

Maybe you can out think them just like you did most of the time with your kids. Ask them if they want to do the flipper. Anyone that says yes. Explain the situation to them in advance.

I'm out of town for six months. That's just a fact. So we filed a temporary forwarding order, and then cancelled and submitted a new one when we got an actual PO box at the new one. But we've been getting very little mail.

Turns out that our home post office has been returning stuff to sender. Not all of it, as we get the occasional item.

So I called the general line, and they confirmed that we have valid forwarding orders, said they contacted the local PO, and that everything should be fine.

So now some mail appeared in our mailbox at home (it's checked on e a week). I called the local PO (the one the complaints line said they contacted). I was informed that not only do we not have a forwarding order in place, but that we cannot cancel one online, that we should always do it in person, and that the employee I spoke with (not a supervisor as requested) wouldn't trust a forwarding order herself.

She was endlessly patient and polite, but there was absolutely NO resolution. She gave me the number for the forwarding center, but they don't answer, of course. If I were there, I'd march in and sit there until I spoke with a sentient being. But if I were there, I wouldn't need a forwarding order, would I?

Just venting, but now I feel better

The MRI won't be able to detect everuthing, like the psychological damage you , received as a result of your near death work related accident.

Having any nightmares, problems going to sleep, flash backs of your accident?.

Do you have intrusive thoughts about your accident, whenever you see a crane, construction site.? How do you feel about walking or sitting under a big chandelier, that can fall and hurt you.

Have you considered keeping a journal about your recovery, and feelings. Gone to any counseling sessions with a professional to discuss your feelings and concerns.

My god man, your a very lucky man your still in one piece.
