  1. I'd like to know the reason, otherwise I am still in dissent...and convinced a fox is in the henhouse. And in your opinion of the "good reason," would you like to elaborate on that? Roll Tide Roll
  2. I don't think they reserve the right to hide their opinion completely when they work for us (supposedly) and we wanted answers regarding their decisions all along - if those were the right decisions which they supposedly stand by on our behalf against this supposed monstrosity of dissent; I for one don't trust the privileged opinion which lead to this settlement, considering I have no right so far to read it as a member then. And I don't think they deserve the right to hide their opinions and private negotiations, considering once again, they work for us). As far as talking about anything with a USPA official in person, I think that was covered in Orlando under the DOOR! thing when we were all kicked out rudely and abruptly. Roll Tide Roll
  3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQFEY9RIRJA Glenn? Mary Lou? anyone? Roll Tide Roll
  4. fincher, et. al.. I was shocked at your posts here. I cannot believe you're still defending those douchebags (MHO only as to their status). I liked hanging around you sometimes at one point after your organization bought the Pell City DZ at my protest and chagrin; the history there I don't think I need to inform you of; nevertheless, here's the place where you give it up and admit you're wrong, otherwise you're fodder if you don't attempt to maybe salvage something and become more than a rat abandoning a sinkng ship at the very end. Sorry Buddy, I don't think you're one of the few in the org who is so bad, just maybe deceived, and I hate that for you - don't be Yvonne and a few others and drown in the cold, try to save yourself and blame it on youthful naivete. I hope you wake up. Otherwise, this is your future: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=khEPc_0MpgY Jump on the Puegot voluntarily and get banged by it. Roll Tide Roll
  5. Speaking of the decision-making Executive Committee of that dark time in recent past, where are they and their wisdom publicly defending themselves and their choices on behalf of you, the United States of P.A. which you've all paid into; me personally begrudgingly in recent past (not this year yet, though) on this small and insignificant/unimportant/unheard website and newsgroup? I was there in Orlando the day it came up (the "DOOR" day I call it) when Glenn pulled his stunt as the question arose and all the dz.commers (majority of the audience participants) were ordered to leave the room rudely and abruptly - Glenn forgot he works for US). I wonder sometimes if they are happy with that change-money they got from our membership fees and insurance, Ren and Stimpy? Seems trivial, the amount, considering how much it cost, the parade they went on after the seemingly (my humble and personal opinion only, no statement of legal fact here) engineered USPA Executive Committee of that day's suspicious settlement, on their neighbors there in Georgia, South of the highway... I'd like to hear counterpoints here on this small and insignificant and unheard website, considering I'm trying to be fair and balanced. I'm all ears! Not holding my breath though... Like Pops said, "...the silence is deafening." And like Billy the DC said, "!@#$%^&*()Cary!@#$%^&*()Ben!!!" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-wwttxW5hMg You can lie, but you can't lie forever. 6. IIRC, it was the one approximately two back from Skydiving Magazine's final issue, and not but a couple months before the last board election in which Jan was not chosen. Done on purpose, obviously, and gave her little or no chance to reply. But then again how much could she actually respond to given the gag order set in place by Glenn Bangs and the rest of the Executive Committee?! I believe those statements were the main reason she wasn't re-elected because a lot of people mistakenly thought they were from a more credible and unbiased source (i.e. not Parachutist) They were wrong, Robin was certainly wrong. Maybe if you can't find the article Robin will be so kind as to take it down out of the frame over the fireplace and scan it and send to you? Roll Tide Roll
  7. Speaking of people who owe her a big apology, are you the person (Robin Heid) who wrote the article last year in the now-gone-bye-bye Skydiving Magazine utterly slamming Jan? Roll Tide Roll
  8. And a big "THANKS" to Jan Meyer for your hard work and undying fortitude in the face of unfair and unearned criticism throughout the whole process. Roll Tide Roll
  9. Actually, we (USPA) did do something, and then the wrong people were put in charge and they screwed it up, or either were part of that plan all along. You reference the people who I actually think are worse than that organization, the dzo's who still take their certificates. They know they are screwing over their neighboring dz's and they don't care; I would hope to expect more out of them than that. They are enablers, and I LOVE to hear the stories each time they decide to stop taking the gc's after thousands of dollars in lack of reimbursement - that's HILARIOUS! Roll Tide Roll
  10. Nutz, we have to behave here and now, otherwise I'll have to bring up the night we met at Pell City (before the invasion), so long ago... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x81F28kPXuo Roll Tide Roll
  11. Yeah, but then which dz gets to hear the spiel this time after that, once again, "...I just didn't realize what was really going on, but now I know better; can we be friends and forget about all my posts on dropzone.com?" or something similar. Same old story over and over as many here can attest, but like I said, it's what that organization depends on. That's why they have their very own version of roaming dz (sorry, Spence!), they keep having to leave and find new ground. And BDazzled points out the one quote from the article about alcohol, but missed these points: "...they are trying to sort out exactly who is conducting skydiving activities at Outlaw Field." "This is the most bizarre situation I have ever seen," "Airport Authority members are concerned about the legitimacy of the skydiving operator, which is referred to under four different names in documents." Welcome to our world... Roll Tide Roll
  12. BDazzled, keep on towing that line, and keep telling yourself it'll all be okay and for your better in the end (we've seen you here before, many times). Maybe it will, and you'll end up just fine in the end, just like Joey did - up until the second before the bus ran over him too... And, by the way, the whole thing is NOT over the "minimum insurance coverage..." but rather, over their recognizing the shell-game that this LLC/Corp./Turdbag organization has used along with the naive pawns such as yourself to help them get this far. Roll Tide Roll
  13. One of my favorite statements is p. 11, beginning line 3, where the obvious frustration of the court in dealing with the B & C shows: "It is disconcerting and dispiriting that the Individual Defendants bring the instant renewed motion to dismiss..." their personal responsibility for the actions of Skyride, etc. Didn't work, though. Roll Tide Roll
  14. I disagree. Apathy is not neutral. It can be, but it's not "on purpose." In this case true neutral would be not jumping at any DZ on top of not taking a side. I, for one, would say that if I knew that any dollar I paid in a lift ticket went to that organization, I would get my jollies elsewhere. Besides, all it takes to leave an aircraft at altitude is a few bucks and an open door... Roll Tide Roll
  15. Not all of us need the helmets and crayons... but thank you for contributing. You're such a special boy! You get a gold star! (Just ask any 1st grade teacher for it. Tell them I said its ok.) How 'bout some play dough? Anybody got any? No, but I have some indisputable facts, a baker's dozen rose-colored glasses, a pound of misguided newbie camaraderie, and a whole lot of selfishly-driven enthusiasm...add to that a dessert of "forgiveness is easier than permission..." Roll Tide Roll
  16. Not if you're feeding yourself on Skyride commission checks like all those other dzo's left holding the bag! And you couldn't get a tan if you jumped into a volcano. Roll Tide Roll
  17. In Nye county, I believe. Parabut has seen it on t.v. or something. Roll Tide Roll
  18. I can't quit you...but I do want you to join a gym, you skinny bitch, and one that has a tanning bed. Roll Tide Roll
  19. "Attack?" and "irrational place?" You have got to be kidding, parabut I don't say much on this newsgroup anymore, but when a personal friend is once-again dismissed in public for something which I believe is totally unfair and undeserved (and something that I have sworn time-and-time again to defend, but didn't), I do take the opportunity to get involved. How I've attacked and tried to quell misleading and opposing viewpoints in your opinion is totally puzzling to me (I invite your peeps to defend their honor, and that of their absent superior!)- like I stated in an earlier post, both sides have presented indisputable facts; the only problem is the "right versus wrong" basis. The Santa/Satan thing was originally just a smart-assed remark (c'mon, you know that), and wouldn't have been brought up by myself the second time but for the fact that someone messed up their reply, but still, I will agree with you that "If you don't agree 100 percent then you are wrong in every aspect." Here's where we are: I cannot see any redeeming qualities in that organization. In my view, you are either for Skyride or against; not for evolving it into some purported legitimate and sanctioned nationwide marketing organization benefiting each dropzone in their respective region. It's not something that can start out "bad" and end up "good" and everyone be happy. Their beginning is/was based on lies. I will agree that you are right in your insinuation that I will never think that somehow Skyride has or ever will be a good thing. And, no, Beaver Creek is nothing like the Bunny Ranch that you have googled, but never visited, either. Roll Tide Roll
  20. so, skyride represents the devil to you, but walmart is is your shopping venue of choice? i bet you live in some shitty little town that walmart has dislodged all the local retailers from. that's voting with you wallet! Quote In your toxic and histrionic state, you've mixed responses to posts - I was the one who referred to Butler-hole/Cockroachy as Santa/Satan earlier on, in jest; however, I do live in a shitty little town where the only chain-stores here are a Subway, a Starbuck's, and a ColdStoneCreameries. We do, however, have a couple thousand acres of good ski terrain. You'd be fortunate to relocate here, and leave the Nashville/Cedartown/Phoenix area behind...since they are in such close proximity. Roll Tide Roll
  21. Lance, you haven't "shown me what it's all about," thanks for agreeing with me with "absolutely correct." Your certainty that I "know what it's all about" concerning drug funded dz's is duly noted - an incorrect presumption on your part, and a gossip-based presumption on mine as to what really went on - however, I know what I have heard for a long time, and I know what I would testify to in court as first-hand knowledge are two different things. MY team didn't bring it up (why must we always pick sides?!) - and you misread my italics. All I was saying is that those guys supposedly did what they did (acquitted, or deceased, or whatever), and I was not part of the jury on that; lets keep on topic as to what YOUR guys are doing without remorse, even to this day. Gift certificates these days usually are refundable in the same time-zone as which they were purchased, usually the company that would redeem was located there, anyway. N'est Pas? "trust me buddy boy..." Did you pull me over in the dog-car on "Dumb and Dumber?" Drink it, Buddy-Boy. The Kool-Aid, would you like grape or cherry? I will. And tomorrow I will shred Beaver Creek. Thanks for the Sweet Dreams. One day, you'll probably be saying to me around the fire, "I just didn't realize what all was going on?" and I'll say, "There, there - you were young and dumb..." Been there, done that. Roll Tide Roll
  22. Oh, Please...Divert? Deflect? "Don't look at me! Look at HIM!" Thanks, though, because that has less to do with my "irrelevant" comment about Billy Vance than anything so far concerning "WTF can we do about What's-It's-Name!" An old pioneer saying here in Colorado goes, "when you circle your wagons, be sure of who all is in your camp." Jeff, these are good words to live by. Roll Tide Roll
  23. I wanted to break down your post piece-by-piece, by statement, but I cannot using all the symbols parting it out and responding, so I'll have to just make a few statements: If you knowingly participate in a crime, you are still guilty, either legally or morally, whether or not you are caught. As far as the questionably-funded dz's you mentioned, how much is innuendo and how much is proven fact? (Let me say, I know exactly what you are talking about, however, I have never seen proof-positive as I have in the SR case, firsthand. Also, I do not frequent the dz's in question. I know a lot more than you think I know). Non-refundable gift-certificates are a crime, though I will give it to you not as severe as those from drugs or murder or violence (or child sex trade, as has been ridiculously compared); nevertheless, they should be dealt with. Your argument about some supposed past drug operations in skydiving do not concern me at the moment (nor do those alleged in that movie a few years back concerning the CIA involvement in heroin-trafficking in the 70's) This is not to give them a free pass, but rather one to ask that we keep this conversation more contemporary. Sadly, if only skydivers knew about Skyride, this whole thing would be a moot point because it wouldn't exist. It is not an internal conflict, but rather, one which affects the general public of those who know no better than to click on the nearest website pointed out on "Skydive North Pole," only to find that Santa...err, Satan lives just outside of Cedartown, Georgia. I honestly don't think that when you ask government official about skydiving that they will pointedly make issue of drug trafficking, but if you'll contact the Georgia Attorney General, the most recent experience IS the fraud involved with one particular operation. Can you name another skydiving operation that has the same notoriety? The remainder of your argument appears to me being that Skyride may be bad, but drugs and child-sex are worse! For once, I am at a loss for words... Roll Tide Roll
  24. Thanks. I actually think that there are a lot of facts presented on here, on either side of this matter, which are correct - the difference is that sense of right versus wrong I mentioned. Roll Tide Roll
  25. No, it's not... irrelevant! No, it's not. Only presenting you with the facts to counter your statements (both here and those made in the past by your ilk). The fact that it may not be directly connected to "WTF can we do about Skyride" doesn't matter - there's little more to be said on that subject anyway. Those who support SR (for now), will continue to do so like some lunatic cult (that is, until they see it is in their best interest to defect), and those who are against, will continue to be wiser than most. I'll remind you that YOU are the one who took it away from the Skyride facts/myths to personally recognizing Billy Vance. Roll Tide Roll
