I GUESS YOU HAD TO BE THERE! I was jumping when DB did his thing. Being military it was assumed the jumper was military. It was years later Weber came out of the woods. The FBI was after him and had good reason to believe it was him I guess. At one time they were talking about a former SF captain who retired in Central America with to much money. With all the High Jackings and then DB the Feds were looking for some jumpers to put on retainer. I remember the Volplane was being sold at the time. One of the first squares. Like I said I guess you had to be around then to understand. I will attach photo of our guys then and they were all military.

Skydiver from Europe have been visiting the www.krueger08.com web site so says the web administrater says. This is interesting because the Krueger campaign is the first presidential campaign to ask for help from outside the US to inform Americans about Karl Krueger campaign. Krueger is also the first American of German decent to run for President. Asking for people from outside the United States to involve themselves in a US Presidential campaign is it a good thing or bad? I think some discussion on this would be cool. Karl Krueger has been a life member of the USPA for over thirty years (1974-1976). Krueger made a jump at Baldwin, WI when he was running for congress in 86. I did a web search and found he had helped start the Deke Slayton Airfest in La Crosse, WI www.airfests.com history tab. I guess the campaign is considering using sky writers too. I hope more sky divers will help spread the word like I am. I think it is a outside shot at best but it is nice to know that someone with no money can run for President with a little help from some friends. If the KRUEGER08 campaign can do well in New Hampshire everything changes. ITS A SMALL STATE WITH A BIG IMPACT! How about you New Hampshire jumpers? You could be a great big help. There are some smart computer people out here in free fall land. So, how do you get more people to support Krueger for President. I could see a free falling President, not just free falling polling numbers. Where is DB Cooper when you need him? He could show them how to turn a 747 into a jump plane. Or---- remember the old VOL PLANEs if you went into brakes far enough a flap would open and it would go into reverse flight. I think it lasted one year in para gear sales. I never knew anyone to own one. Para Commanders were hard to come by then. No money, it all went to jump aircraft. Well off subject. There are a lot of guys out there that jumped a B17 at Omro Wi during Experimental Aircraft Convention. Bill at Omero could tell you more. Power parachute jumps are common but fun.
