  1. Welcome Being nervous is ok. i now have over 700 jumps, i have to take the winters off so every spring i get that nervous feeling for the first couple of jumps. the only advantage to taking the winters off. Blue skies Lanny SHUT UP & JUMP
  2. Welcome Sounds tropical, up here in northern Alberta Canada we have had temperatures of -37 without the wind chill. We go out on the river with an old rig and a 190 7 cell something tie a rope to a truck and perform our own version of parasailing. Can't wait for spring. Blue skies Lanny SHUT UP & JUMP
  3. Great idea but policing may prove to create some bad blood for jumpers who think they are ready to be there. I thought i was when we first built ours, i helped build it. I flew the course for about a week or two and got cocky, the knee surgery only took 3 hours and 2 days later i was jumping again.I got lucky and I haven't flew the course since. Make smart rules and no exceptions, not jump #'s but ratings that prove a level of competence. SHUT UP & JUMP
  4. Cool pic. Works for me and i just might take you up on a trip to your DZ Peace out SHUT UP & JUMP
  5. Wow! I'm impressed but i would like to see it. SHUT UP & JUMP
  6. No doubt you were able to stay up with that furry220 it was probably all baffed out and was sinking like a weight vest. As far as the stiletto goes i think i'll stick to a stiletto until these other manufacturers start to send demos north to us Canadians SHUT UP & JUMP
  7. Hey ya'll Thanks for the warm welcome and maybe i'll come up with an intelligent question or comment once and a while Blue skies Lanny SHUT UP & JUMP
  8. Hey sista, wasssup? It's your favorite J.M. Lanny welcome to the forums. I see that even a key board can't keep you quite. Good luck in Ottawa, and if you think it's cold there you should be in Ft. Mc Murray brrrrrrrr. Blue skies Luv ya Lanny SHUT UP & JUMP
  9. welcome As far as fear goes i'll give you this from my first jump. F. E. A. R. = false evidince that appears real blue skies Lanny SHUT UP & JUMP
  10. i've been checking out dz.com for a while now but seeing as its the off season up here in alberta canada i now have some time to get into the forums (i cant type very fast) blue skies SHUT UP & JUMP
  11. wow some people jusy dont get it swooping as in skydiving is as safe or as dangerous as you want to make it there fore it stands to reason that responsible progression will keep you alive i started to learn how to swoop at about 50 jumps under a manta 288 and i weigh 130lbs and every time i transitioned down i went back to basics i now have 750 jumps and am about to go down to a stiletto 97 from a stiletto 120 and yes i'll go back to basics. also there is a difference between a hook and a carve have an experienced swooper explane the diff in mechanics a carve gives you more control and more options for outs wake up and flare SHUT UP & JUMP
  12. the best i've seen so far has to be "beyond the horizon" also "flyboys party mix is great" SHUT UP & JUMP
