  1. I've done about 8 hours doing 4-way / 3-way belly flying, and about 2 hours freeflying. Learnt backfly, transitions, sitfly in those two hours. I've got two sessions next week in the tunnel ... and hopefully will get cleared for HD! I sort of split my money with half going towards 2/3-way head up freefly for fun, and half solo with a coach to work on specific skills (which is also fun as well!). -- Aizxana --
  2. i pop all my tunnel time into my log book alongside the jumps. Of course it just gets logged as a tunnel session not a jump and i write it in a different colour pen :) Freefall time is always added up as freefall only, tunnel time added as tunnel only. If someone asked how much experience i had, I might say 250 jumps, plus 10 hours tunnel - not combine freefall & tunnel time eg never "13 hours freefall". some people have a separate log book for tunnel and jumps, but I prefer to keep it all in one, fewer books to lose ;-) -- Aizxana --
  3. ah yes, i caught it very briefly but didn't know that it was The Apprentice showing. just saw a few seconds of freefall-face though! wish they'd shown more... -- Aizxana --

  5. I went to the tunnel after i started on the static line course so that I could experience what freefall is like. Now I'm using it to prepare for AFF... and for fun! -- Aizxana --
  6. just been reading through this thread! :) i'm a static line student at the mo, although after a lot of thought i've decided to do an AFF course next spring - i've did the first jump course nearly a year ago and due to a combination of bad weather, not being able to get to the dz enough and low student funds, i've only managed 11 jumps and am still on dummy pulls, which is becoming frustrating. i've decided to save up and go for AFF, i know that each programme has it's pros and cons but i think that AFF will suit me better. SL was fine when i was at uni - the cheaper jumps and low initial cost made it easy on the pockets and the pressure wasn't on to get through the course as quickly as possible. Also it seemed like a good idea for the many of us who just wanted to do a single skydive, but couldn't afford a tandem, or wanted to go solo. however, maybe if you're really intent on becoming qualified sooner rather than later and want to take the sport us seriously, AFF is the way to go? in the mean time i'm doing some SL jumps for fun and to practise accuracy as and when i can, as well as going to the windtunnel - ive got about 30 mins so far which i'm hoping will prepare me for the AFF. anyway that's my story, thanks for the discussion on the different courses! :D -- Aizxana --
