cool. thanks tom a. i really appreciate your advice. also would like to ask if having a canopy made for terminal and wingsuit B.A.S.E. jumps without vents is a good idea?? or having fewer put on in strategic places. one only on the center cell etc. i've heard of a few people doing this.

have recently been debating doing a wingsuit B.A.S.E. jump/flight.

basically wanting to hear differen't opinions about openings. skydiving openings with a d-bag vs. B.A.S.E. openings without a bag what to expect etc.

vented/non vented issues. what you do in your packjob that might be differen't than your normal terminal B.A.S.E. jump if any?.

AND anything else you can throw in..

good point on the tape being used in the hotter more humid climate scenario. and leaving the rig packed scenario.

i asked TODD @ APEX B.A.S.E. this same question on my first slider up jump. and he said it's ok to use the tailgate. and said that the opening shock force was to powerful for an entanglement i also reefed down my large mesh slider with a rubberband attached to my opposite "c" lines. for a slower opening. i didn't notice the slower opening but i'm sure it was there.

i also asked JEB CORLISS a few months back about wing suit B.A.S.E. and terminal B.A.S.E. and the tailgate. he said he use's tape on the trouble making lines. he also gave me alot of insight on what not to do on lower jumps. but hey what do these guys know.

and the matter of the potato bridge not being a "real" B.A.S.E. jump. do people really say this. when jumping with one parechute with 5+ seconds to the ground it's still a B.A.S.E. jump. ask the poor gal who had a hard pull or was it a pilotchute delay. either way=that's when i realized it's still a B.A.S.E. jump.... damn...... a pilotchut delay with a 3 second delay and only 2 seconds to go...sounds like a B.A.S.E. jump to me....it's not safe...it's safe(r)

I asked the FAA rep for her help simply because she was there and available in a timely manner. It could have been another skydiver, the S&TA, etc.

It wasn't a "law" thing, the jump never happened.

i would just like to say. that not having been a B.A.S.E.er for even a year and parachutist for barely a year and a half. i still have sooo much to learn and more private coaching for B.A.S.E. and wingsuit.

having just come off completeing my B.A.S.E.--- which meant a lot to me i still have a lot to learn. i'm just saying this to not come off as any know it all because i'm not--far from it!!!!!!!!!!

and i guess all of this is about: I JUST HATE NARCS. IT'S ABOUT HONOR AND RESPECT.

but if they want to do it. if i tell them how and where to go and let them be free to do what they feel they need to do just like you and me. it's all about freedom and if someone tried to stop me when wanted to, i would (and i did) want to do it more. again it's not the WHAT but the HOW something is said and done.

i got into skydiving to do one thing!! i never cared about formations and all the other crap. jumpsuits and jumping with other people. getting a team together F@#K that!!! never caring about anybody at my DZ! i had my own objective, to jump and eventually FLY OFF STUFF!!!!!!!

but hey each there own. i'm a B.A.S.E.er who USES skydiving for my ends. i don't want to hurt anybody i just want to jump/fly off stuff!!!!!!

it was in the morning. when the typical drunken skydiver is asleep anyway.how many people were going to be infleuenced any way. and the typical B.A.S.E.er always say's "150 jumps minimum and to do a FJC-- a the typical manufacturer wants proof of this and so does the B.A.S.E.er selling there used gear... so infleuencing the 50 jump skydiver is well not that easy...and again so what if it makes them want to do it.. when they have the jump numbers who cares who's want to do it... it all goes back to the jealously thing i'm convinced!!!!!!!
and ballons are very good practice for B.A.S.E. this goes on all the time.

i guess the
B.A.S.E. er and the skydiver will never agree.

thanks for putting that up. i just ripped him. what a pussy. what do gooder pussy. they're out there. i'm usually surprised at the skydiving community for looking down on us.

i think alot are just jealous and mad at themselvs for not having any balls.

because they're so safe in skydiving. yet at the same time they feel cool to the outside world because the still feel like rebels or whatever. then we come along and ruin that for them.

i doesn't matter. it's been too hot and humid for me to skydive out in CA (perris) over 100 f ever day for the last month or so. last time i went out i can't even tell you how nasty it was wearing that wingsuit. anyway i would still like to try that move and laugh at myself trying.
