  1. Well, here's another one with the same problem. It does appear as though the interior of the line keepers are not sewn to perfection, leaving "sharp" fabric on the inside fuzzing up the excess steering lines. I had a rigger change them for me and 60 jumps later they are starting to bother me again, atleast in the esthetic sense. He said the had also noticed the problem on atleast some of the rental gear at our dropzone (all icons)
  2. If you would like to know more about the study and see some awesome pics/video I strongly recommend this video. http://videos.eso.org/public/videos/esocast/ESOCAST2/ESOCAST2_ATV.m4v Quicktime HD 720p You can choose another player/resolution here and view other videos with more graphics. http://www.eso.org/public/outreach/press-rel/pr-2008/phot-46-08.html#esocast2
  3. Not necessarily. When your life is on the line and you have only one chute remaining, your reserve, how is it deployed? A ripcord. If throw-outs were so great, we would have them for reserves too. But we don't. You don't suppose it has more to do with allowing the reserve to be deployed by an AAD?
