  4. Hey everyone, first off I want to thank all of you for your support of the other post I had posted concerning the burgulary at our DZ, Greene County SPC. (Hey asshole that stole my gear). Below you will find a list of the items taken and a reward of at least $2000. Please continue to help your fellow skydivers out. Again, thank you to all of you! -Marlene The Greene Co. Sport Parachute Center of Bardstown Ky. was the victim of a significant robbery during the early AM hours of Sunday December 17th. Someone broke into the locked hanger using bolt cutters and stole the personal and drop zone property. The thieves stole skydiving rigs, cameras, radio and other items. They had to know us and have been around the parachute center and likely befriended us because they knew where things were and where to find them. It is apparent that the thief knew what he or she was after! Judging from what they took they know something about skydiving gear and know personally. A $2,000.00 reward (and maybe more) to anyone providing information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons who committed this crime. Please we need your information, contact; The Nelson Co Sheriff’s department, Deputy Sheriff Ramond Pineiroa Jr. RPT# N0612-248. 5. Arvel, I'm sure oldskydiver could answer this himself but I would like to as well. We both are from out of town. GCSPC is our home dz and we stay in campers there on the weekends. Our DZ has been there for over 35 years and we have never had an issues with stuff being taken. The hanger was locked and we were only about 200 feet from the hanger when all this happened. There are also dogs on the property as well to which none of them barked at the person(s) taking our stuff. This is one of the reasons why we think it may be someone we know. If I stand on my tip toes, I can see the weekend from here!
  6. JohnRich, Oldskydiver was being sarcastic. It was unlocked by the bolt cutters. There was not a typo. I know this man well. He is one of the guys that got his gear stolen from the same place that I did. You posted on my forum "Hey asshole that stole my gear". If that helps you remember what I am talking about. We are all very upset by this and would only like to have our gear back. So please people, remember that when you post things on here. We are already under stress as it is. Please don't ad any more then we need. We are only asking for your help. If this was one of you, we would try our best to help you out. That's what this community of jumpers are supposed to do. So please, all we are asking is for your help. If I stand on my tip toes, I can see the weekend from here!
  7. Hey tell M, one of the rigs stolen belonged to Rusty. If you get this, send him an email at [email protected] he wants to talk to you. If I stand on my tip toes, I can see the weekend from here!
  8. I know, that's the part that sucks and more importantly, HURTS! The possibility of someone I have jumped with or talked to at the DZ doing this to us. And you are absolutely right, until this is solved, we all will look at eachother differently now. I hate that because everyone at the DZ has become a member of my family. I just pray its someone I don't know. That way it won't hurt as bad kicking their ass! If I stand on my tip toes, I can see the weekend from here!
  9. I'm working on the pics. I have some friends checking their pics out. I will post them on here and also am sending them out to DZ's and riggers as soon as I can. If I stand on my tip toes, I can see the weekend from here!
  10. Do anyone know how long it takes for DropZone to post my gear as stolen? I posted it 2 days ago and its still not up there. If I stand on my tip toes, I can see the weekend from here!
  11. I just want to say thank you to all of you that is helping. Getting the word out, watching ebay, whatever it is you are doing, THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH! All of you are one of the main reasons why I love this sport so much. We all look after one another. Or at least most of us do. If I stand on my tip toes, I can see the weekend from here!
  12. Thanks. Every little thing helps in big ways right now. I know I will probably never see my gear again. I just hope I do. I love this sport and I don't have the money to buy all new gear. This hurts in many ways. If I stand on my tip toes, I can see the weekend from here!
  13. The Greene Co. Sport Parachute Center of Bardstown Ky. was the victim of a significant robbery on December 16th-17th. During the late hours or early a.m. Some one broke into the hanger and stole several people's personal gear and cameras. They also stole student gear and radios and transmitter. We were unable to let students jump Sunday who would have really like to. It is apparent that the thief knew what he or she was after. They obviously had cased the place and knew something about skydiving and gear. Several people who lost their gear have no insurance. The cameras were a source of income and had personal as well as retail value. If anyone has any clues or evidence to what has happened please call us. We are offering a $1,500.00 reward and maybe more to anyone who can lead to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons who committed this crime. This crime was not just stealing .. Not only has it prevented new jumpers from jumping which has a large affect on a business that has been around 35 years it has already prevented up coming new jumpers from jumping Sunday..... because the radios were taken. This person had to know us...be around..be friend us....and case the place...probably has jump experience..how much we don't know. This person Took Gear which was not only valuable, but a source of participation in a sport the people who owned it loved. All this right before Christmas. We are doing all we can to find the gear and cameras. Hoping that it will all show up somewhere soon....If this letter reaches the person who did this Please return it...leave it in a cart at Wal-Mart or somewhere where we could find it. Other wise we will search..internet, ebay, run name checks of all who have jumped here recently, search pawn shops long after gear has been replaced!!!!!! This was a cruel and selfish crime... Everyone receiving this letter please check your local pawn shops...call friends...check e-bay...help us find the person who did this!! report any findings to the Bardstown Sheriff Dept # 502-348-1840 **call Kenn at the Parachute Center for descriptions 502-348-9531 or Home 270-865-6577 THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION and HELP!!! Pass this on- Cindy & Kenn Heismann -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If I stand on my tip toes, I can see the weekend from here!
  14. We do have a camp site for people if they prefer to stay at the DZ itself. The crazy thing about all this is we have campers that stay near the parking area (about 500' from the hanger). We were all there that night sleeping in our campers. We had our routine bonfire going and when we called it a night, got up the next morning we then realized the burglary. Our dogs didn't even bark. This is one of the many reasons this has to be someone that has jumped with us. If I stand on my tip toes, I can see the weekend from here!
  15. Thanks If I stand on my tip toes, I can see the weekend from here!
  16. If you all will help out there is a award for the items returned. The items are as follows: Javelin: Model is "NJ", serial # 17397, MFR date is July 1999, colors are White, Teal and light blue. The main is a Spectre 135 White, Teal and yellow. The reserve is a PD 126R: Serial # 021328 and is ORANGE. The Cypress II: Serial # 10147, MFR Date is Aug, 04 Sony HC-36 Serial # S01-0371142-4 (I think) These are only my items I have numbers for. If I stand on my tip toes, I can see the weekend from here!
  17. All 5 rigs, cameras, helmets, altimiders, etc.. were locked up in the hanger. Someone cut the locks off with a bolt cutter. But left the TV, DVD/VCR player and such items. If I stand on my tip toes, I can see the weekend from here!
  18. I don't want to post any names of interest because thats all they are. You should never post anything thats not factual. If I stand on my tip toes, I can see the weekend from here!
  19. It was someone at least familiar with the sport. The only thing they took were gear of value. There was expensive tools and other items that had just as much value as the gear did but the only thing they took was gear, cameras and such. If I stand on my tip toes, I can see the weekend from here!
  20. Bardstown, KY. Its a Javelin, colours are Teal, white with light blue. Specture 135 Teal, White and Yellow. And a orange PD 126 reserve. My name and number is on the free bag. If I stand on my tip toes, I can see the weekend from here!
  21. Thanks for letting me know about the mishap on my profile. I will have to correct that. As far as my gear, thanks again for the web sites. I will post it on them. I have checked the local pawn shops including the local military ones as well. And a police report has been filed. The good thing in my favor is my rig is unique and if I see it I will know its mine. But I also know not to have my hopes up. Its a growing sport with a lot of people in it. I just some dumb ass non-jumper tries to take it on a base jump. The main is a Specture 135 so it would be bad for them. I guess that would be part of karma if it happens. If I stand on my tip toes, I can see the weekend from here!
  22. All I can say is I would have my gear back!! If I stand on my tip toes, I can see the weekend from here!
  23. Thanks, I have only posted it on Dropzone so far. This just happened so I'm working on it. I am looking for a pic. Its not very often I get a pic of myself. Not to mention, this gear is new as well. If I stand on my tip toes, I can see the weekend from here!
  24. This past Saturday all of my shit was stolen from the DZ I jump at. Among others gear as well. This is for the person or persons that took my shit. You better hope I don't find out who you are. You better hope we all get our gear back if you know whats best for you. If I stand on my tip toes, I can see the weekend from here!
