  1. Three things, IMO. Knowledge, experience and honesty. Anything else is a bonus. The first time I learned to pack, my jumpmaster threw me to the senior rigger. He made sure I understood each step before moving on to the next. Throughout the whole time, I was treated with respect and my questions were answered before we continued packing. He might not be a good person, but he knows what he's doing, he's not arrogant about it and he's not selfish with his knowledge. My two cents. Why don't you just go to the police station in a red clown suit and let everybody know what we're doing here? I have a phobia for moobs. Thanks, youknowwhoyouare.
  2. WI or Wis. would do. Sky Dive Wissota is closest to Minnesota, as far as I know. It's about two hours from Twin Cities. Why don't you just go to the police station in a red clown suit and let everybody know what we're doing here? I have a phobia for moobs. Thanks, youknowwhoyouare.
  3. Welcome to the forums. Mingle around, we're all pretty friendly people. Why don't you just go to the police station in a red clown suit and let everybody know what we're doing here? I have a phobia for moobs. Thanks, youknowwhoyouare.
  4. Wow, I'm glad you're OK. Better your equipment than you, right? After all, you always can buy new gear. That said, thanks for sharing your story. It helps a novice like me learn. Peel and pull, with two hands. Since I've just started to learn how to pack, I'll definitely keep those lessons in mind. Why don't you just go to the police station in a red clown suit and let everybody know what we're doing here? I have a phobia for moobs. Thanks, youknowwhoyouare.
  5. Welcome. I had a '02 Kawasaki Ninja ZX 6R, though a lot of people (non-riding folks) thought that bike was too much for me. Yes, the bike's past tense. Sold it to support my new hobby: Skydiving. The way I see it, it's safer than riding. Enjoy your jump! Why don't you just go to the police station in a red clown suit and let everybody know what we're doing here? I have a phobia for moobs. Thanks, youknowwhoyouare.
  6. Sounds like me, only my co-workers are constantly telling me they're planning my funeral. What do they know. You're a Wild fan? Oh my. Red Wings (you wouldn't know from my screen name.
  7. It does sound like your drop zone is closer. When I have the time, I'd like to check it out. I'll definitely give you a call. Thanks, Todd!
  8. Hello, fellow Wisconsinite. I just went for my first tandem jump a few weeks ago and I'm all excited for my static line progression course next Saturday. It's a bummer my work schedule is so unpredictable, but I plan to spend all my free time at the drop zone. You're in Point? I'm living in Wausau. Why don't you just go to the police station in a red clown suit and let everybody know what we're doing here? I have a phobia for moobs. Thanks, youknowwhoyouare.
  9. Definitely safer than riding a motorbike. At least I won't have some bad driver in a truck harping behind my back at 10,000 feet. No drunk drivers, no road hogs. Why don't you just go to the police station in a red clown suit and let everybody know what we're doing here? I have a phobia for moobs. Thanks, youknowwhoyouare.
  10. Hi everyone. Went for my first jump April 22 and loved it. Can't wait for my static line course. Sure, had to sell my bike to support my... new hobby, but it's so much safer than riding a bike, don't you think? Why don't you just go to the police station in a red clown suit and let everybody know what we're doing here? I have a phobia for moobs. Thanks, youknowwhoyouare.
