Quotehope to see you guys
Does it mean you might join us one day for a few flights...?Patrick de Guillebon
-
We did a few jumps with the spanish redbull team in Empuria...they were quite happy with the vertical/forward speed... I was flying 2 meters above them... didn't look like they were suffering !
The way we see this sport is not just to hang up in the air feeling relax, we like to fight a bit to stay tight together...purist or not...this is the way we feel it
Just come with us for a few jumps...nothing more
and if you want to experience something strong, go and find Fred & Vince from Babylon, have a jump with them... it might give you a better understanding of what we are looking for.Patrick de Guillebon

yeah, the "Drag" suit, thanks FritsPatrick de Guillebon

QuoteI admit I was bringing the wrong weapon to the battle.
Didn't you have the chance to try another suit that week end ? the so called D... S.. ?Patrick de Guillebon

Quotebut there is only one PdG....Tongue
Deg's full name was "Patrick de Gayardon de Fenoyl"....PdGdFPatrick de Guillebon -

"Deug" is an university degree in France (two years studies)
"Deg" is the nickname of Patrick "DE G"ayardon.
I know, most people make this mistake.
Yeah, but we were talking about body position... arms in the back !
see you thenPatrick de Guillebon
-
Quote"That's how PdG flew."
1 - Which PdG,,,? ok... sorry
2 - Not "Flew"...body position...
Hope to see you soon then...Patrick de Guillebon

sweet !
A few years ago, we had the visit, much appreciated, of someone who's now flying off cliffs with a hidden base rig.
you can spot him twice in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HsNg1Pg0mg8
He even dared wearing one of our suits.....quite fantastic !
So we are still waiting for you, Rooooooo !Patrick de Guillebon
-
QuoteI'd also sure like to think that if PdG were still around, he'd be flying suits (still) for maximum flight value rather than being a lawn dart aiming for the ground with forward speed.
Not very sure about that, but still.... we just love it this wayQuotesome of us have no problem with the "down."
In this case, it's more a problem of 'staying back'
Come over to Europe, new experiences.....Patrick de Guillebon

QuoteBut I heard several people comment on having to collaps almost all their wing to fly with the formation.
When you collaps your wings, I have the feeling it's due to too much drag...I experienced it with my Blade...
In Corbas, we increased the speed jump after jump, it was very interesting..! but difficult to stay in the Flock for large wing suits.Patrick de Guillebon -
Quotewhen will you guys start using the arm-wings more
We always refer to the original body position of Patrick de Gayardon... Make sense ?Quotethe fallrates are quite fast/steep
True it gives you forward speed
1- We like it this way
2- allows every one to be there despite their weight (no extra fabric needed)
3-more speed, more accurate
Come over and try one day for a change... bring your shadow !
After Corbas, we also had this
http://vimeo.com/12730241 in Empuria
Even more fast/steep fallrate...so good
Next meet in Brienne mid July and also the very special WS week in switzerland end of Agust (Locarno, Eiger & Mountain Gravity)Patrick de Guillebon

How much did the guy ask ?Patrick de Guillebon -
I have another subjective question : Why doesn't he flies his suit himself...?

QuoteDistances were verified by the Navigator on the aircraft using the aircrafts GPS from the time Ben exited and the GPS coordinates were taken from the exact spot he landed at.
so how can we be sure he didn't deploy & ride his canopy very early like at 25 000 ft....strange !Patrick de Guillebon

Any 6 way line docked during the event ?
Patrick de Guillebon

QuoteYou'll notice a lot of things in wingsuit flying with regards to flying input, reaction speed/time and docking tends to be easier and a lot smoother with higher flying speeds...
