  1. What is really disturbing is that Sarah Hall Ingram was head of the IRS tax exempt division that was responsible for the targeting of conservative groups durring the timeframe in which the targeting took place.
Steve Miller was not head of the tax exempt division of the IRS that was targeting conservatives at the time of the targeting, yet he is taking the fall, and he was planning on leaving the IRS even before the shit hit the fan anyway hmmmmmm....
Meanwhile Sarah Hall Ingram now heads the IRS Obamacare office hmmmmmmmmm...........
Sounds like comrade Ingram is still working hard for the left.

  2. I wouldn't say al qaeda is falling apart, but rather they are evolving to become more difficult to recognize and thus harder to stop.
They no longer need the high profile leaders to orchestrate the attacks.
All they need are religious zealots who can be mentored and trained by small insignificant players in the world of islamic extremism.
Zealots get trained, zealots determine their own acts of terror.
The acts may or may not be as big as years gone by,but the acts could be more numerous with enough zealots running around.

  3. :Dya I like to practice my lack of faith in solitude.
I know that all the dominate religions have been used as banners for conflict and cruelty, but at this point in time islam is lit up and ready to explode.
I'm sure alot of this stems back to the brits harsh treatment of the peoples of the middle east, just like their treatment of the people of India led to revolt and ultimately the creation of Pakistan and Bangladesh, the harsh treatment of the arabs led to the birth of the muslim brotherhood.
It is no excuse however for blowing people up,or intolerance,or violation of basic human rights in the name of god.
It's bullshit, just like the crusades,or race supremacy,or any other irrational ignorant crap.
I wish all humans would embrace scientific enlightenment and cast aside all this mumbo jumbo nonsense.
But until then we will have overpopulation, hunger, intolerance, lust for power and control, and the need for self defense against those who would try to do us harm.
This is just the way it is.

  4. Yep,the KKK were some ignorant assholes for sure, and they did some bad shit, but I doubt that they cause as much misery as gang bangers or mexican cartels at this point in time.
Don't forget the IRA either. The IRA wrote the book on blowing shit up,but at the moment islam is out front on all this kind of fucked up shit and they use religion as there cause.
When the muslims are not killing infidels they kill each other over religious interpretation.
    Such irrational behavior.

  5. :D:D:D:Dahhhh:D:D:D:Dyou think I'm religious:D:D:D:D:D:D.
I'm an INFIDEL,aka non believer of all religions.
Religions and some believers are,and have been responsible for not only several mass conflicts and rampant intolerance, but also the suppression of scientific knowledge.
At this point in time Islam is leading the way in violence, intolerance, and the suppression of knowledge.

  6. Obama did not literally say "crushed" but he did say things that aluded to al qaeda being finished as a global threat.
    :D:D:D:D
The word crushed is not being used to litrerally mean compressed into pieces like crushing a bug,but rather like when you defeat the opposing team for instance.
You often hear people say things like" that team suffered a crushing defeat in that game".

Rushmc wrote:But as we have seen, this is not the narative Obama and his lap dog media wanted just before an election.
    So they coverd up

    you know.

    Exactly!

  8. Sure seems to be alot of al qaeda type attacks happening lately.
There was just a hospital bombing in benghazi and we here in north america have seen a few attempts and one successful bombing in boston recently.
And don't forget the 911 attack on the US consulate in benghazi.
    Hmmmmmm...........

  9. Some in government were working towards eliminating private gun ownership before WW2,but then reports of Hitler's nazi atrocities spreading across europe with little if any resistance from the people of the invaded countries started getting back to the US.
When it was learned that the nazis used the gun registries not just of germany, but of all the other countries they invaded to round up not just the guns, but the gun owners themselves, thus eliminating any resistance to tyranny, many people here in the US feared the same could happen here.
The movement to abolish private gun ownership here was crushed.
The nazis were socialist by the way.

  10. I never said anything about students not being taught right of way, which is collision avoidance by the way.
AFF first jump students should be taught collision avoidance, and then reviewed on it prior to their next skydives, but they are not introduced to using rears for directional control with brakes stowed until category D.
Students use big, slow, docile canopies for many reasons, and a couple are because they fly slow and are less likely to spin on deployment.
Students pull higher for many reasons, one reason is to help keep them out of the mix of the other canopies in the air.
Giving too much information to students is not recommended, and since their fun meter is maxxed out at deployment, expecting them to go straight to rears without popping the brakes is unrealistic since their focus at the moment of inflation is making sure they have a good canopy overhead.
The two points of the skydive with the highest levels of stress are exit from the aircraft and deployment time, and this is for every skydiver not just students, but students are extra stressed out because they have not had the experience of these things yet.
Back to the original topic,I always use rears after inflation to steer towards my upwind holding area,or to avoid other traffic, but pop my brakes within seconds of inflation and do my CCC with as much altitude as possible just in case.
After the CCC then I deal with the slider, chest strap,ect...
I have a wing loading of 2:1 and have no problem flying and controlling my canopy while house keeping.
If you cannot fly in full drive while housekeeping and avoiding other traffic then you should get a slower canopy in my opinion.

  11. Thanks Pops jumper, using toggles to get control of the canopy after inflation is exactly what I was saying.
AFF students are not introduced to rear riser use with brakes stowed to get directional control for collision avoidance until category D.
Just from my personal experience, most first jump students are spun out pretty good at deployment, and expecting them to have enough presence of mind to go straight to rears when they are taught that the toggles are used to steer and flare the canopy is unrealistic.
Give them the information they can handle, and they need to get control of, and determine wether or not they can land their canopy safely, and once they are more relaxed(around 3 or 4 deployments) and ready for more information then introduce rear riser input for collision avoidance right after deployment.
Keep it simple, and take small steps in learning or risk overload and confusion of the students.
