  1. J,Thanks for looking for the pics! Yea, I used to jump them way back in the early 70's. No one had the cojonas to do a terminal more than once then, only h&p.(no sliders). I might jump it, haven't deceided yet! My wife thinks I'm crazyand my 2 boys who just started jumping saying "yep, if I know my Dad, He will" Some things never change in a jumpers mentality, right? 2. Larry, I heard that! What I'm doing is collecting different types of old canopys that are still jumpable. I've got a PC I'm putting in an old secerity crossbow piggyback witha 26' conicol reserve. I have the ParaPlane but I need to have it inspected first. It does have a slider though! Not sure what harness and container I'll put it in yet! It's just pretty neat to have a collection of all the old gear I have jumped.Wish I still had my original PC, only 6 like it was ever built in that color skeem. As for jumping all of them... Will probale have to at least once???? Sill thinking about that though! Wayne Here's to Old Farts in the Wind!
  3. Thanks! Wayne Here's to Old Farts in the Wind!
  4. Anyone have any old pics of a paraplane canopy? Maybe one with a slider! Thanks in advance! Here's to Old Farts in the Wind!
  5. Terry, Yea I see now what you were talking about. Sounds like fun watching first time round flyers tryingto hit the sawdust. I'll proably jump the PP a few times for grins! I'll try the Strong 26'. Well. take care on the Eve. Lots of crazy people out there. Happy New Year! Wayne Here's to Old Farts in the Wind!
  6. Terry, Wow, would love to see the setup! Just bought a Pig from Cass out at Skydive United. It came with a Para-Plane (with slider) and a 23' conical. I'll replace the reserve with at least a 26'. The PP is said to be in good shape but, I'm going to put my trusty ol' PC in it after I make a slimer sleeve. Any suggestions on the reserve? would love to see pic of the 3ring thing. Going to jump the PIG for ol' time sake! The last time I jumped a PC was in the early 70s. Telling my age I guess! Oh well here's to OLD FARTS IN THE WIND! Wayne Here's to Old Farts in the Wind!
  7. I sure will Larry! I'm on a hunt for one now! Please do the same! Fla. man huh? I started jumping in FLL back in 67'. Jumped with Popenhager in Indiantown also and in Homestead with Roy Barns and his group. I'll be sure to keep you in mind about the PIGs. Wayne Here's to Old Farts in the Wind!
  8. Now I remember! Thanks! I had an all red one with the same in it. Was somewhat heavy compaired to todays rigs. I later put a square in it and had my first real malf cutaway because of line twists. Was just a hop&pop cause you couldn't do a terminal with squares then. Sure would like to find a good pig to jump my PC with! You know, for old time sake! Wayne Here's to Old Farts in the Wind!

  16. Thanks for the reply! I can see the serial #664641 on it but I still don't know the date it was made. I looked for any AD notes on this canopy series and found none. I need a old time PC rigger to inspect it and make some miner burn repairs. Know any? Wayne Here's to Old Farts in the Wind!

  19. Sparky, yea, I hear ya! I guess you only have to be burned once but I feel like you do! Don't like getting old though! I remember my first student back in the 60's. I think he was about 55 or so and I thought what is he doing wanting to jump as I was 19 at the time. Oh well, what the heck did I know anyway!! wayne Here's to Old Farts in the Wind!

  23. Hey Man, I know what you mean. I have gone all through my grey matter memory banks, and can recall a good field sleeve pack execpt the side panels. I would use a wind pack all laid out on one side of the lines, then fold the side pannels. I had a tighter than factory sleeve made and it worked great in slowing the openings a bit. Just want to be sure of the side panels. Also want to let a good rigger have a look at both of them as I'm sure it has been a few years that they were jumped. All help is appreciated .
