Yesterday afternoon, I had a scary malfunction, but I am glad to announce I am more alive than ever, and that I am in one piece , totally unhurt.

My experience : 870 jumps, approx 550-600 with camera
Rig : Talon, big PC, long bridle (for wingsuit), Safire2, PD-R 143
Helmet : Hawkeye, BH Clamshell box, lolipop ringsight, METAL SCREWS, NO cutaway system, Chincup+chinstrap (due to a previous mishap)

Freefly jump, 3 way, uneventful, from 16'000ft approx. At separation I see one of my jumpmates on my side (far enough, slightly higher) but I already had my PC in hand. Decide to keep it for a second more. I Feel my helmet pulling my head from the right side. Main bridle got caught in my ringsite. PC continues pullin the main Dbag , lines all around my face, Dbag hitting my head.

I fight to undo both chincup and chinstrap, see the ground coming FAST, no time to cutaway, straight to reserve. but at the moment I pulled the reserve I felt my rig was already empty.

deceleration, harness turn to land parallel to the runway, flare with rear risers, not enough flare then, so after my feet touched the ground I let it slide on my arse.

Camera stopped recording when I landed due to humidity/condensation.

I just got a second life 11 days before my b-day.

Vdeopeople, video enthusiasts, please check your helmets, please DO NOT use metal screws, please get a cutaway, please eliminate snagpoints as much as possible.

Also when your PC is out, unless it is vital (someone above you), let it go.

I would like to thank publicly Airtec, Rigging Innovations and Performance Designs.

I would also like to thank all the people who helped me, who listened to me, who called me for support.

I would like to also give another hommage to Stefan, my rigger, who left us the day before this incident. He saved my life for the second time, and this time I know he was there to help me.

A few _hundred_ are all that's needed for deterrence. The vastly greater numbers were used as a propaganda weapon to get them to overspend on their military program. (They did it to us, too - they built tens of thousands of missiles, most of which wouldn't have launched due to crappy manufacture. But we thought they would.)

We didnt have enough Subs to take out enough hard or soft targets to even make a dent... They had so many its fucking scary. Which is why we had so many missles spread over the country. And they still had more than us.. I dont think a few hundered would be enough at all. We needed to be prepared to really use them... Toward the end we did have the upper hand with the missles in Turkey and japan and our other european allies. and like BillVon pointed out our subs.. We could hit them quicker but not do as much damage as they could... Even with the thousands of missles...

I guess my point is we needed them. At one point they actually put fake ICBM's in several locations to throw off the russians. The russians had to target every silo no even though they didnt know which missles were real.
We were in serious trouble... Good thing we went crazy on the missles back then..


Which brings me back to the topic. We wont have an arms race here.. All we have to do is bomb their nuclear facilities. If they still persist after that its time to invade.... You'll see alot of help from within the country.. We've been on the ground for years there.

He didn't specify nuclear bombs. By saying "a few thousand tons", I believe he was referring to using conventional bombs, to destroy Iran's nuclear facilities. No radiation to be spread.

there are less and less people supporting Americas invasion if iraq in this world, more and more people see it for what it really is, BUT you can't really blame the soldiers on the ground, it's the people who have put them in that situation that are to blame

on 9/11 about 3000 people died yeah? in the great big scheme of things thats not a massively big deal. it's a big deal to those directly involved i'll grant that, but its only a couple of thousand or so... how many people died in Rhwanda? how many people die in the great Indian flood planes floods each year? how many people have been killed by starvation due to American sanctions around the world? many many more thousands than 9/11

so, just how much was Iraq down to the (unwinnable) war on terror, and how much is it down to Oil ? Are Americas leaders going to let thousands more of their people (soldiers) die to fight an unwinnable war just becasue a few thousand died...or are they going to let the $$$$$$$$$$$$ dictate as it always does and use the war on terror as a smoke screen to get to the Oil ?

if America's leaders REALLY cared about lives, would Monsanto be able to do the deals they do all around the world in third world countries? Would they have stopped the genocide in Rhwanda? you tell me?

We do care about lives... Our lives... We arent the world police..... We were attacked... 3000 americans died.... It was time to prevent that from happening again... Hunt down every one of them...
