Who ever heard of a perfectly good patch of flat ground?

    Hi Hi Hi!

I haven't been on here in quite some time, but I thought I'd drop in and say hello. Hello! Anybody up to anything weird? I had back surgery a little over a year ago, but bounced back strong and spent a beautiful autumn climbing my pink ass off. I was around for Bridge Day (since I live in Fayetteville), and I thought of you cats fondly. Blues, Jay
  3. Thanks for the well wishes, everybody. Don't worry about me -- I'm sure I'll land on my feet. As for you folks... it is my fondest wish that we meet in a plane somewhere on our way to 12k. J
  4. Hi all. Just thought I'd drop a quick note. Well, the last five months certainly have been interesting. Thanks to everybody who lent me their support and trust. I hope that, by and large, I did right by you folks. Ciao. J PS: Willem, go get 'em.
  5. Sure enough the settings were off. I tweaked them back. Should be good to go now.
  6. Brian here tried to sell something that didn't belong to him. His username has been disabled. Click here to read more about this type of scam.
  7. Yeah, I'm sure a few folks wrote back to him not realizing at first that he's a scam. The best thing is to just break off contact with him.

  9. Thanks Phree. You're correct on number two. The date of the post will have to suffice, I'm afraid. Number one, I'm happy to report, is already out there. From this page that you are currently on, check the secondary navigation bar at the top, under the masthead. Click "Search." You'll get an advanced search form that will allow you to sort by date and also arrange the results in date order. What I really need to do is put that advanced search form atop search results, so if you don't see what wanted, you can adjust on the fly. Yes. Yeeessssss...
  10. Is it possible you accidentally hit the little Friend button under his or her username on the left of his or her forum post? Go back to that and see if there's a post by Shropshire. If there is, I bet that's what happened. If not, let me know here and I'll bugify it. On RC.com a couple years ago we had a member complaining that we had deleted all his posts. Turns out he found a way to accidentally killfile himself.
  11. I think everything that needs to be said in this thread has been said.
  12. Hi all, Looks like we may have quite a few people in our midst who are participating in Jump for the Cause. Like many of you, I've also seen breast cancer hit near home. I have a close friend who is embroiled in her own ongoing battle, so I'm psyched people are taking an interest. To those who are jumping, I want DZ.com to do everything it can to support you in your efforts. I've already placed the event on the site Calendar and started a thread in the Events forum. If you're raising funds, please do so in that thread (that way we won't have competing fundraisers all over the joint). Also, please feel free to include links to your respective JFTC pages in your signature lines. Best of luck out there, J
  13. Hi all, If you're participating in Jump for the Cause this year, this is the thread for you. Please feel free to ask for donations, hype you participation, what have you. Forum rules apply. Jay Jump for the Cause Jump for the Cause on the DZ.com Calendar
  14. I see. But that doesn't necessarily mean we shouldn't change something there. Still waiting to hear from Gossamer on a few things.
  15. Interesting. Maybe I need to think a little harder on this before doing anything.
  16. Very important. See here for more details. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=3495972; "skyconner" has been disabled. I cannot stress enough the importance of calling the home DZs and riggers of the people with whom you deal in the Classifieds. Make sure you're dealing with a real person. Get them on the phone, no matter what it takes, and ask them questions only a skydiver would know the answers to.
  17. I've asked how mush, resource-wise, it would take to track for a month or even just a couple weeks, instead of indefinitely (which won't be possible, I'm afraid). Still holding.
  18. Hey! This post WW2 tech, pal. 'Mercan ingenuity at its finest. Anyway, it looks as though this time I might be the bearer of bad news. You're right, tracking is for the session only and it's built in to the forum program itself. I'm checking on what it would take to change that, but initial word is that, given the obscene amount of traffic in our forums, it might just be not possible right now. Hang tight.
  19. You know it doesn't do this on Rockclimbing.com. This might be an easy fix. This one is fixed! Still waiting on screenshots.
