  1. yeah, along with making students feel a bit better there are other reasons why landing near your students is a good idea...Its a lot easier to help them out with the gear so the toggles are on properly and nothing is dragging, etc. and it can also be a safety issue crossing runways, etc. But the main reason that I enjoy helping out a student after they land is to get their reaction to the jump. Nothing beats the big grin after a jump from a student.

  2. Check this out...I tought this guy that has this state of the art prostetic leg to jump. Today we ended up doing his Cat A and mid freefall, I got the weirdest sensation. Everything became absolutely silent and everything went into slowmotion. The only thing that I could feel was each single "ruffle" of wind that was hitting my body. You can actually see it in the video where I am doing my gig and then, I kind of space out a bit for a few seconds. Extremely strange. Everything just became peacefull, very surreal. I really dont know how to explain it. I am not necessarily religious, but it was pretty f'n cool. If I could only put in a bottle and market that feeling...Bizarre shite. I guess this footage is going to be shown in New England on the local news channels and from what the guy tells me, CNN is doing a thing on him on their headline news. He has this really bitchin fake leg...almost stood up the landing too on a 0 wind day...pretty good!!!

FYI. His existing leg was the weak one on this dive!!! Typical AFF Cat A. The prostetic leg was solid!!!

  3. seen it...pretty good stuff!!! Its going to be on his dvd...I think the dvd is going to be about an hour and a half long...including about 10 different camera angles of him hitting the hanger...there is the one angle of his camera on that stunt. One of the ground crew takes it off him and sets it down. the guy didnt even know that it was on and he set it down in the perfect place outside the hanger...you get to see all of the emts and video people, etc taking care of him. Its all fastforwarded, but it is a great shot!!! Check it out!!!
