  1. Calling all USPA Coaches looking to get some hands-on experience with post grad jumpers to prepare themselves for an advanced rating and seasoned veterans who would like to make a difference in a novice skydiver's DZ experience!!!

I am putting together a mentor program to safely bridge the gap from post student status to a safe and competent skydiver. I will fill you in on the details and requirements later.

Anyways, if there are any New England jumpers out there that that are interested in taking a more proactive role in teaching and helping out a new friend...give me a shout. Oh, I forgot...you get to jump for FREE...
    :)

Anywho...I hope that no one takes this as a sales pitch and boot this off the forum, but its actually a pretty cool program that I am developing...so do with it what you will...

give me a shout at my DZ.com email or at [email protected]

An hour is not nearly enough for a new person's first trip to the tunnel.

Yeah, the more tunnel, the better...I agree, but I want him to be able to function to make some jumps afterward...the tunnel can beat you up if you arent used to it.

  3. I would suggest going to Deland if you are going to get SDU coaching. Sebastian doesnt have SDU anymore. Give a call to Deland and ask for Chromy or Rob Laidlaw...they have dedicated time every week. Usually a couple of hours for people just like you and the locals. If you call them, they will be able to split the time up with you so you dont have to spend everything on the tunnel itself buying an hour...that is too much anyways for your first trip into the tunnel. I think that the number for Deland is 386.738.3539

Enjoy. They will hook you up with everything that you need.

  4. Its a good thing that I only read the first part of all your posts!!!;)

Yeah, Bob was great...The class was only two of us and he let us work at our own pace, so we worked from 8 am till around 10 pm pretty much everyday. I was tired, but he did provide us with kneepads...although I didnt know that wearing kneepads were a requirement to pass the course. I wanted to pass, but not that bad!!!

  5. $16 per jump, thats a $4 discount...plus, employee of the week gets 5 free jumps and we give free jumps for staff when we see a paying customer doing a solo..."hey, get on that load and teach them something" 10 people minimum to get on the load and 8 people to spin it.

  6. I wouldnt take Tylonol Pm too much...it makes your legs feel funny and twitch when you are tyring to go to sleep because of a certain mineral or vitamin deficiency...it sucks...you cant sleep when you have been on that stuff for too long. I have found that when you go to sleep without anything on your mind and feeling good...I sleep like a brick. Sounds strange, but it works. It depends on where you are at and what you are doing. Once I have everything going for me sleep just happens. Have you been under stress???

  7. I am telling you that I do not think this way, but...you ever think that he may think that this country has issues??? Kinda like flying the flag upside down...like he was wearing it??? Just a thought. The way that the flag was hanging that he was wearing was backwards...a sign of a country in distress.
