  1. that's what the jumpmaster told us on a jump with a thick layer of clouds from 800ft to 1500ft. couldn't see the dz at all: "it's in the middle between these three mountains. when you hit the clouds (under canopy), just do left turns (no spiralling) and continue until you`re 200 ft under the clouds." it was quite a relief to see the runnway underneath me when i came out of the fog.. but a great experiemce, for sure. in eloy though, they went on stand by as soon as a cloud showed up anywhere in the sky.. so it looks like you all gotta come over to the old world if tou want to do some cloud dives "He tried to kill me! He tried to f***ing kill me!"
  2. In Empuriabrava, everybody has to walk through the space where the staff lands/swoops. But since swoopers tend to be experienced canopy pilots, they have a lot of control and (at least in Empuria) some experience in avoiding walking targets. It's still healthy to look out while crossing such areas, tho. But as long as you walk through it without doing sudden movements/leaps, nothing bad should happen. Neverthless, you should be looking out in the main landing area, too. Some student might hit you in a wide open space, just because he's scared/not able to avoid you. "He tried to kill me! He tried to f***ing kill me!"
  3. i saw some people doing that sport on a frozen lake recently - with old irons (the things you iron clothes with).. looked quite funny. "He tried to kill me! He tried to f***ing kill me!"
  4. And.. how was it? That boogie is coming up again and i'm planning to go there. I've been in Buzios before but wasn't skydiving back then. The scenery must be awesome. How bout other things, like planes, organizing, prices, people, party...? I'd love to get some impression abouth that event.. Anyone else here going tho Brazil Boogie this year? Greez from cold&snowy Switzerland.. "He tried to kill me! He tried to f***ing kill me!"
  5. Ok.. i managed to get an e-mail address.. and some answers, too. Anyone here going to that boogie? As mentioned before, Buzios is one of the most beautiful places i know.. doing jumps there must be awesome. And the chance to do jumps over Rio sounds even better.. "He tried to kill me! He tried to f***ing kill me!"
  6. I'm planning to go to the Brazilian Boogie (March 16-24) this year.. Anyone going there / been there in the years before? I know Buzios, but have no idea what to expect from this boogie. I'm sure it will be a 'paradise' place to jump, though. There is no email address listed on their website and the feedback form doesn't work either.. so: does anybody know who's organizing the event / who to ask questions about it? Looking forward to jump in Brazil.. "He tried to kill me! He tried to f***ing kill me!"
