  1. I usually pull at 2800. Hard is 2000...
  2. This happend 4 or 5 years ago to a guy over here - and let to a fatality. As I remember the report: The breakline was looped over the ring and between the breakline and riser. He flew the canopy down and both toggles moved freely up and down (he did turns). Upon landing he apparently pulled hard on both toggles thereby making the looped steeringline lock.
  3. I think it's mostly a question of getting used to a particular setup. I do think though, that you tend to have more strength in your arms for cut-away/reserve-pull when they are not fully bend - that is, more strength when the handles are further down. Also if the handles move up to your shoulders (e.g. due to spinning mal) they could be harder to grab.
  4. OK, found a picture where you can see at least part of the h/c and the handles.
  5. I own an Omega H/C from 1986. It has both handles above the chest-strap. I haven't got a digital camera or I would have sent you a picture. I'll send you one if I can get hold of a camera...
  6. Do the specifications to the tests specify at which altitude the droptests should be done? Does it not matter if 300lbs/180kts is done at 1000ft or 5000ft?
