  1. [email] Work are sending me to Houston for the weekend and i am bringing my rig, from the UK, is anything happening that weekend, i thinks its Halloween ? If so where is the best place to go ?
  2. I was in Alberta for work and emailed the local DZ's and Eden North were the most helpful so i rocked up on a windy Saturday to get checked in. All involved were very friendly and how they all laughed at my British licence, where my photo had been sabotaged by my home DZ to make me look like a pirate. After this i felt right at home and on the Sunday got some good jumps inwith various locals, the first being with the DZO who filled a slot on the plane so i could jump which was very cool, who gave great descriptions and executions of triple back somersault exits into sit position and after some editing it looks great !!! Planes all have wing extensions and are quick (for pistons) to 11,000ft (13,500ftASL)i could have stayed all day but had to shoot off to Calgary, but i will be back..........Many thanks to all
  3. 1. when we went last june the facilities in the bunk house were basic but cleaned everyday. There were however building some new buildings which looked pretty cool for bunk houses 2. when we were there there were a few FF coaches who spoke english if i remember rightly it was $70 for a coached jump 3. in june it was about 25 degrees and rained every so often but the pilots and DZ were pretty good at judging the gaps 4. everything you need is there apart from mozzie spray. Its a very very good DZ where all they want to do is jump and we were getting 12 jumps a day and packing ourselves if you have two rigs you could double that easy just dont watch the packers !!!
  4. thanks guys for all the infromation and looks like i will be jumping a few different DZ's on the occassions i will be out there. I forgot to ask being a member of the BPA will i need to be a USPA member and an alberta/canada skydiver too ?
  5. Hi i have just got a new job which means i will be spending time in Calgary/Edmonton and Houston Can anyone recommend a DZ ?
  6. i have never jumped at old buck but i have seen Tommo and Grant in operation at Hinton and can imagine what their DZ would be like. So if you want a laugh and good people to jump with go to Old Buck and i hear they have signed a deal for a turbine plane next year.
  7. yo yo yo people Dylan here, thinking of going to venezula and kolomna next year. whos your daddy now !!
  8. Well why not try the new Skydive London, the closest DZ to london. 45 miles west at Redlands airfield in Swindon. Its a new facility where you dont have to say sir and is owned by skydivers who want to skydive. [email protected] for more information
  9. there are a few of us due there on thursday so see you there, and as andy says bring the good weather with you !!
  10. Hinton is by far the best DZ in the UK now with the Let410 its well worth the trek. www.skydive.co.uk All DZ's are miles from Cornwall but http://www.bpa.org.uk/dropzone/dzone.htm shows where they all are happy jumping
  11. Dude, sound like a good idea but what format so you want the videos in ?
