MakeItHappenToggle colors are important when considering two out situations.
.
Absolutely true. I need to look more closely at this pic... looks like they're wrong

Actually the students don't tend to notice.
Fair enough, not a problem at some DZ's.
I was thinking of a situation where a DZ mentions toggle colours as part of the training.
Oh we talk about toggle color for sure, lots. But what I've noticed is that when I am running the students through malfunctions they are focusing on the canopy so much they just never notice the toggles are the wrong colors. "Never" maybe an overstatement but after a full season of using those pictures maybe one or two students noticed and we teach a lot of FJ."Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy -
pchapman*** Notice the color of the toggles on the mains...
Yeah, after all that work they did to get the shots, too bad about the toggles on main and reserve!
(Don't know about everyone else's gear, but I'm more used to Yellow for main, Red for reserve, rather than the reverse.)
Actually the students don't tend to notice. Their focus is on the canopies. The toggle color is more of an annoyance to me than a problem for the students."Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy -
Great Pics, I've used them. Notice the color of the toggles on the mains..."Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy -

SafelandingsI was really considering the N3. But a friend of mine received his and we jumped together on a couple of two ways and neither of us could hear they alarms go off. He wasn't sure if he had it set right on the first jump so he went through it and thought it was good to go. So on the second jump we stayed docked together while the alarms were supposed to go off and still didn't hear anything.
We both have G3 helmets and wear foam ear plugs normally but not on these jumps. Is this altimeter loud enough? Or is it possible that he didn't have it set right?
Now I'm not sure if I should go with the N3 audio instead?
What are your experiences with this product?
I hear mine with no issues. Got the little sound port facing your ear?"Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy -
Gary Peek has written an updated version of the article listed in the Boogie Safety section here:
http://www.dropzone.com/safety/Boogie_Safety/index.shtml
Here is the post where he lists the updated article http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=4623107#4623107
The old version is from 2003
Might be a good idea to replace it with the updated version."Where troubles melt like lemon drops, away above the chimney tops, that's where you'll find me" Dorothy -
Check this out, articles are not new but still have valid information

this listing is no longer valid, the dz is closed. The owner is going to work for another dz this year.
