  1. Hi, I just noticed that Sigma has announced few months ago new flash that seems to be good competitor for Canon 580EXII. Has anybody tried that in skydiving yet? http://www.sigmaphoto.com/shop/ef610-dg-super-sigma Is it working in ff as well as canon? Price is much lower than 580 and if it works equally, I think I'm trying that one. Or should I stick with 580? Any opinions?
  2. My estimation is that 104 has slightly smaller packing volume than 120 Katana. My MX used to have 107 Stiletto in it and Neos packs almost the same. Difference between 99 and 104 is only 5sqft so I don't think that'll make so much difference. Hope this helps.
  3. I got this reply from Spain few months ago. "The packing volume of a Neos 104 is just a bit lower than that of a Crossfire 109" I bought Neos 99 and it fits OK into my Mirage MX.
  4. Hi, New rules for FS are now online and noticed this change after reading it very quickly: 2008 4.6.2. For the purpose of these rules, «freefall video equipment» shall consist of the complete video system(s) used to record the video evidence of the team’s freefall performance, including the camera(s), video media, tape recorder(s), and battery(ies). All freefall video equipment must be able to deliver a PAL digital signal through an IEEE 1394 compatible connection (Firewire). 2009 4.5.2. For the purpose of these rules, «freefall video equipment» shall consist of the complete video system(s) used to record the video evidence of the team’s freefall performance, including the camera(s), video media, tape recorder(s), and battery(ies). All freefall video equipment must be able to deliver a PAL digital signal through an IEEE 1394 compatible connection (Firewire) or composite video compatible connection The use of composite video output is now allowed. Is this added for us to allow the use of camcoders like CX105/CX11 etc... ?
  5. What's that? Is this a new type of FTP cutaway? Mine arrived 2 weeks ago from BH and they didn't offer me any special cutaway. Mine cutaway can bee seen in my first and last picture. Handle might be different but method is the same.
  6. I just updated my Optik Illusion to FTP. HC-96 in blackbox, 580exII, 350D + canon 15mm. I also changed some of the screws to metric ones and did some changes to front plate. Now the screw in front plate doesn't stick out and back screen of DSLR touches the plate. Now I'm able to adjust my 350D easily everytime in same position just by using thumb screw. Here are few pictures of it attached...
