  1. Hey Kevin, Just an aside, my dad, Motherfred, taught Dar Robinson how to skydive in the 70's in Taft California. Dar was a great family friend. Sure miss that guy!
  2. Hey John, Couldn't be that hard, hell, I'm still flying it. Besides it's just like riding a Tricycle, only it has 2 big ol' fans on it to keep you cool!!! Peace, Rabbitt
  3. HEY SCOOTER!!! I guess this means you'll be stayin' in Baldwin this summer, that's SUPER!!! I've been tellin' Ginger all about you and we thought you were not going to be there for some reason or another, glad that's not the case. Summer is going to be a blast!!! John Polk: Ok, John, I've brought up pieces of 2 different rigs to put together and make one jumpable rig so as soon as you're ready I'm thinking about making some jumps this year. That is if you can remember how to fly an otter. I guess we'll see about that. Peace, Rabbitt
  4. Slappie!!! Where you been bro. Thought about makin' a little fire around here and thought of you. Didn't get the fire going, but this is getting to be a habit writing stuff on DZ.com. Thought the fire would start before now. Oh well, all is good. Peace, Rabbitt PS: Does this make 6 or 7 now. Damn it's hard to keep count.
  5. and around and around and around. Just don't post much here on DZ.com. I'm one of the 'LURKERS' everyone knows so well. If I wanted a flame under my rear end, and I don't, I would post here more often. Walt, I've seen you get on my plane more than once, you know I'm not forgotten, just gone. I'll be up north (ya, yankee country) for about 6-7 months then I'll be back down to sunny Skydive Spaceland this fall. Keep all those folks inline while we're gone. Peace, Rabbitt
  6. DQ!!! My buddy!!! I'm half way there. Spending a little time in the warm midwest. That's right, I'm flying in Kansas City. I'll be here for another weekend and then it's up to Baldwin for the summer. You can email me at [email protected] (yes, that's Rabbitt with 2-t's). Give Andy a pat on the ass for me and I'll get there as soon as I can. I actually brought gear with me this time, well, pieces of gear, I'll have to put them all together and get Polk up to speed and perhaps I'll be able to get some jumps in this year. Enjoy your weekend and I'll see you in about a week or so. Peace, Rabbitt
  7. Im sorry ,I dont think I was exactly clear on that. My turn onto final isnt low enough to get you in trouble but low enough that you should not need to hit brakes or sache to keep from overshooting brent
  8. Well, now I'll be damned. There I was doing a search for Mother Fred and got a ton of hits, then I decided to try my dad's name, Carl Staib, and what do you know it came up with this thread. Now mind you, I don't post to DZ.com to often, but it seems I'm in good company here. It is really cool to see Scratch, Bill, Frank, and how many more classic skydivers here. Hell, I didn't start skydiving till 1977 and at the time I was the young pup. Now 20 something years later I'm the old man, but I come here and I'm the kid again. That so ROCKS!!! As far as the reunion goes, my brother, Troy did a Staib Family reunion a few years ago (That's the last time I saw Bill Newell) and it was a blast. Had the Latin's there and everything. Not to mention Dave Crouch found a Beech-18 for us to jump out of. Haven't been in one of those since Spike's Beech. It was also the first time my dad, Mother Fred, my 2 brothers, Troy and Shiloh, and myself were in a formation together. Oh we were in the air together when Shiloh made his first jump, but this was different. Thank God Taft is still in operation and if there is a Classic Reunion, I definately want to know about it. Peace, Rabbitt Staib www.rabbitthole.com www.skydivespaceland.com
