You are the only person here who is partisan enough to suggest the other side loves arson just to make an inane right vs left point.

No he is not. I totally agree, but you knew I would. I simply admire his tenacity to continue dealing with you people.

The agenda of the left includes instituting scientific socialism. The intellectual elite have determined that they know what is best for all Americans based their data obtained through mathematics, statistical algorithms, and agreed upon by the like-minded.

This is a resurgence of the strategy implemented by McNamara and LBJ to manage the Vietnam War. It will produce a similar outcome now. Years of violence, cultural war, and the breakdown of the Republic for the benefit of those intellectual power mongers. They will have the wealth and the rest of us will live in fear.

The rioters are paid for by those that will profit from their lawlessness in the hoped for long run. That is the Luciferian concept. Man will rule above God.

We will not let that happen.

Liberty is worth fighting for. That is part of the American creed, always has been and always will be.

This link here gives a little detail about that question.  You can then click the see more link to view additional details.

    From first Link:

These responses help create statistics about this ethnic group. This helps federal agencies monitor compliance with anti-discrimination provisions, such as those in the Voting Rights Act and the Civil Rights Act.

    From Second Link

We ask the question this way to comply with the federal government’s standards—provided by the U.S. Office of Management and Budget—for collecting data on race and Hispanic origin.

It seems they just want an accurate count of this group without any confusion.  I'm guessing it helps to make sure that the proper funding is available for them regardless if they identify as white or whatever else.

I remember I was researching the demographics of a certain city, (I forget which one) and it said that it was 60% white.  I said that can't be right - that would ruin my entire argument, lol - but with a closer look  it showed that of that 60% that identified as white, 80% were Hispanic/Latino.

This kind of reminds me of another off topic issue regarding a commercial for a PrEP drug for HIV.  When prescribing the medication, doctors apparently don't care about what gender you identify as, they only care about what  "gender you were assigned at birth," since the drug wasn't safe for females.

Thanks for your effort and clarification.

What I was fishing for is this, I am not a racist because I want a wall on the southern border. I want national security enhanced by restricting illegals. I don't care what flavor they are.

And we're not trying to minimize the level of racial bias and outright racism and the effects thereof.  It's just that it goes beyond a handful of shitty police and it's going to take a concerted effort to fight through it.  It's not just a black issue that should be left for them to figure out just because "we don't understand what it's like to be black."  Growing up in the inner city I never saw it as strictly black and white issue.

Off topic comment, as 2020 Census worker I find it odd that Hispanic, Latino, and Spanish are not considered races. The respondent chooses Yes or No. The questionnaire leads the respondent to choose White as the race, although all other choices are equally acceptable.

For example, the respondent chooses Yes and then could choose Native American as race.

That sparked my curiosity. The list of sealed indictments is purported to contain the names of many top level executives pending the release of DOJ investigation reports.

I could find nothing except David Pecker transferred to another executive positive in another company.

  10. Why did Oprah Winfrey send a major production crew to the mountains of north GA to document BLM?

    Is it QAnon related?

Hate speech and right wing conspiracy theory...

What really gets me is how twisted it is that the believers are beyond any rational thought and will just see this as more evidence of the deep state etc.

A bit like those who believe 9/11 is a hoax or coverup. I would love to know if it would be possible to move these people from the magical thinking part of psychological growth to a more mature state.

What do you, liberal dems, have to offer that is more positive?

QAnon is possibly the number one search topic on Google. Why is that?

People are seeking more than statistics. They seek the hope of substance, not the declaration of hate.

Yes I believe people use tithing to scam on others.  Others believe their tithes or whatever they give are used to maintain a church where they can fellowship with others and that's important to them, it's a reasonable expectation - nothing wrong with that.  Personal tithing or giving doesn't even have to go to a church.  And if someone is giving money just because they expect something in return, then I think they're the ones missing the point.

    Good discussion going here!

I pay tithes and call it dues. For me it is membership obligation to be allowed into my clubhouse where I and my wife have fellowship with our support network.

My friends and I on the outside seek a religious free zone, just Jesus. It is the spiritual relationship that is important. A shared fellowship in the Holy Spirit.

    trump's full endorsement of Qanon.

"President Donald Trump on Wednesday claimed he didn't know much about the right-wing conspiracy theory QAnon but offered praise for its believers, adding that he heard they "like me very much" and "love our country."

"Well I don't know much about the movement, other than I understand they like me very much, which I appreciate," Trump told reporters during a White House briefing. "These are people that don't like seeing what's going on in places like Portland, Chicago and New York and other cities and states. ... I've heard these are people that love our country and they just don't like seeing it."

    Sounds good to me.

The title of this editorial is QAnon: The alternative religion that’s coming to your church its from the Religion News Service.

IMO the most appropriate parts are:

"Mark Fugitt, senior pastor of Round Grove Baptist Church in Miller, Missouri, recently sat down to count the conspiracy theories that people in his church are sharing on Facebook. The list was long. It included claims that 5G radio waves are used for mind control; that George Floyd’s murder is a hoax; that Bill Gates is related to the devil; that masks can kill you; that the germ theory isn’t real; and that there might be something to Pizzagate after all. ...

Thorngate attributes the phenomenon in part to the “death of expertise”(READ SCIENCE) — a distrust of authority figures that leads some Americans to undervalue long-established measures of competency and wisdom. Among some church members, he said, the attitude is, “I’m going to use church for the things I like, ignore it for the things I don’t and find my own truth.

“That part for us is concerning, that nothing feels authoritative right now.”

So religious followers seem to be prime believers for other conspiracy theories. That they don't trust science or expertise. The READ SCIENCE is mine. and “I’m going to use church for the things I like, ignore it for the things I don’t and find my own truth." hits the nail on the head.

No news here because staunch religious believers seem to be Qanon's best advocates.

The editorial makes a link to another story Don't be fooled by QAnon’s post-apocalyptic fury. It’s really spiritual hunger.. authored by Tara Isabella Burton is a contributing editor at the American Interest, a columnist at Religion News Service, and the former staff religion reporter at Vox.com. She has written on religion and secularism for National Geographic, the Washington Post, the New York Times, and more, and holds a doctorate in theology from Oxford. She is also the author of the novel Social Creature (Doubleday, 2018).

"We are living at the end of history, this aesthetic goes, and that’s fundamentally exciting. It is an aesthetic that celebrates chaos for its own sake, and celebrates those who recognize that they’re living on the edge. This apocalyptic fantasy has also become a recruitment tool for the far-right.

Underpinning the logic of QAnon is a narrative of both heroism and destruction, in which intrepid keyboard warriors can uncover and overthrow a deep state committed to the status quo. That same narrative supports the fanatical and hysteric ideology of modern race war as concocted by the “far white”: America in 2020 as the last stand to defend the white race.

It is necessary to understand and condemn the racism — structural as well as individual — and racial hatred encoded deep within these movements. But it is necessary, too, to understand that their pull is a promise of a role to play in history’s last battle. This vision of post-apocalyptic meaning-making — the end-of-history as a survivalist video game — is a symptom of our collective cultural alienation and the sense of meaninglessness wrought by life under late capitalism."

Thanks to yobnoc and you for sharing. I liked the article.

Q and QAnon; good, bad, or ugly; it is a voting force to be reckoned with. And that has been my point all along. We don't accept the MSM and the Q posts provide a positive outlook not found elsewhere.

"Having a Q supporter in Congress will inevitably fan the flames of the conspiracy, even if Greene decides to remain silent about Q or even disavow her previous beliefs, which involve her calling Q a “patriot” back in 2018.

"While he predicted that QAnon would begin pressuring Trump to carry out “The Plan” and begin his mass purge of the power elite if he won, Carusone worried particularly about what would happen if Trump lost.

“You'll start to see an increase in questions about the legitimacy of the election, of the outcome,” he predicted. “Increased attacks on the system of voting, a total lack of acknowledgment about the election result unnecessarily. And that's assuming Trump says nothing.”

If Trump decides to contest the results, Carusone added, he has a captive audience “that have been stockpiling weapons, ammunition and freeze-dried food rights to basically fight the battle of their lives against the deep state. Either way, they're going to say that it's proof of their argument and the externalities that come from that are not good.”
