    Pro-Dytter

Early in the season and late in the season I can´t rely on the dytter to go off at all. When it is below freezing on the ground the startup procedure hangs for a few seconds, and some times it takes up to a minute for the beep saing it´s ready to come. Under canopy at these temperatures I´ve had the alarms at all wrong altitudes and even heard the flatline after i´ve landed (it´s damn loud when not in freefall...). However if I warm it before I jump, it works just fine. This could ofcourse be a problem with just mine. Maby I will have to mail L&B and ask them. A more common problem though, is the clip that holds it. It just breaks for everyone. Mine is cracked and I haven´t even used it on my helmet. I friend lost her dytter and i´ve read a few threads about others loosing theirs.
  5. Sorry, first time I saw this thead was the same date as my first post.... So... I kinda did actually..
  6. THANK YOU BRIAN!! It bugs the hell out of me to see that "canopy pilots" actually belive they control their canopys in a way that is impossible.. As for the tight rope goose. You didn´t move your centre of gravity (seen from the ropes prespecitve). If you did you would fall of the rope. Your centre of gravity is still directly above the rope.
  7. Think about this one one more time, you fly on rears.. pulling the rear is the same as putting pressure on the rear.. AND you put pressure on the fronts. So you put more weight on BOTH fronts and rear? Du you gain weight by leaning forward? I don´t think so... This is possible IF you have a fixed link. As in grabbing the risers. Not possible if you have a loose link, dangling from you 3-rings not holding on to your risers. Only way to move your but back then is to move something else, for instance your head and chest, forward... Leaning forward will do nothing to your canopy unless you grab the risers. It will howeve give you a better position for running (at the end of a swoop or down the hill for ground launching..
  8. Tjena Göran! Vågar du köpa Katanan? den cuttas ju hejvilt över hela landet p.g.a snodd i öppningen. /Jan Fälls det några elever ur an2:an?
  9. Thnx. It´s been taken care of and my friend will recive the lines in time. Love how everything always works out within the skydiving community.
  10. Is it possible to buy a new line set at Z-hills? If it has to be sent there, how long would this take? Have a friend there now, staying one more week. Was hopeing he could bring it back to me (to Sweden).
  11. Thanx! I read it the same day before the jump, but I didn´t read far enough. Is watching the horizon really enough to see if the canopy starts turning? Looking forward to trying this.
  12. Tried my stiletto 150 for the first time the other day. When I pulled I was looking at it open, and I saw it open slowly and at the first stage of the opening I noticed it turned slightly to the right. When it then opened full it went in to a quite fast right turn wich I had to correct with the rear riser. My question is, should I try to shift my bodyposition in the harness to prevent the first turn during the first stage of the opening (this was what I tried to do, but didn´t quite know how). Or should I try to adjust my body position to follow the turn with my body so that the final opening is on heading relative to myself? It only turned 10-20 degrees during this stage. Other than that, the stiletto was sweet! Used to fly a pd 9-cell the same size and I´ve never flew this long or landed this smooth before!
  13. Ok, it´s the BASE-version. They are blue and yellow though.. Wonder if I can modify them by adding inlets on the back so that they will inflate when backtracking to.. Anyway, I track FAST when on my belly!
  14. Just got a pair of pantz quite cheap. However they seem to be the base-version, with inlets only on the front. Will they be no good for backtracking? The guy I got them from wasn´t sure if it was freefly or base-version. He had ordered freefly version, but i´m pretty sure that it isn´t.
