  1. I got a HC-28 too. It was just so cheap, and I'm not a big fan of used electronics. I'm still waiting for "D-connector" remote indicator, but there is already a sony remote which could be modified to do the job http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10551&langId=-1&productId=8198552921665304384&storeId=10151 That could be one option.
  2. More information please! Will it work with all cameras which have the D shaped av out port, or just cx7?
  3. What is that? My camera's manual doesn't say anything about D link?
  4. Hi, as an owner of a camera with no lanc and no rec light I'd like to ask some questions. Is shortly something like a month, 6 months or a year? Do you mean the A/V OUT connector, DV connector or something else? (read this as: "will this work with my hc28") Does it matter is camera is PAL or NTSC? Will there be a simple and affordable product with start/stop/indicate functionality too? Any ideas about the price? I'd appreciate any details that you can disclose.
  5. What (also cheap) wide angle lens would you recommend for HC28? And would I need some kind of an adapter with it?
  6. Offheading openings should go away. I got my s2 135 at 40 jumps and got all kinds of linetwists and diving turns during inflation, but after jumping it for a while it now opens on heading all the time.
  7. Here's the most beautiful Otter out there. Owned by the parachuting club of Finland. http://www.airliners.net/open.file/397205/M/
  8. Your situation sounds similar to mine. I've been jumping for 6 months. I got to short freefalls after 4 IAD:s and 5 DRP:s. I was terribly afraid of my first 3 sec delay, deployed on by back and had a reserve ride. After regaining my courage I went back and after 2 more unstable deployments I one day found myself in the exit door relaxed and feeling good. I passed that 3" nicely. Next day I was trying to do 5 sec, and my brain froze at the door again. This time I ended up with my leg entangled in the lines. It cleared easily though, but got me scared again. I got two choices. Either back to DRP:s or do an AFF jump before going back to 5 sec. Now I'm looking into doing AFF, because I'm not too sure that short delays will go any better after more DRP:s. AFF is expensive, but it sounds better than more short delays. 18 months is a long time with nearly no freefall time. Maybe you could do one AFF jump and see if that helps your short delays, or if you should jump all AFF levels.
