In order to avoid hesitation during deployment make sure that the PC is:
Skydiving
1. Proper size
2. Properly secured in BOC or PC pouch (for those suits which have this option)
3. Have either PVC tube handle or internal handle or no handle
IMHO, WS skydive with a hacky PC is acceptable (this fashion has been present in skydiving for years anyway)
In case you are skydiving with hacky handle type of PC, check out the attachment between the PC and handle itself. There are many different manufacturers and many models of hacky. The Best PC w hacky are those which have hacky handle attached close to the apex. Choose a hacky which is light too
4. Use a WS (long) bridle. (Standard length work OK too, it just shouldn't be ridiculously short)
Summary: During the many thousands of WS jumps conducted in last 5-6 years there was for sure plenty of PC hesitations and self cleared knots between bridle and PC too. Luckily we all have reserves and that fact helps us to be relaxed even if our equipment is not 100% suited for WS skydive.
BASE
1. Correct type and size
2..Have either PVC roll handle or internal handle or no handle.
A hacky handle PC is not acceptable! PCs with the hacky are top heavy. After the pull the PC will always ''dance'' until it is fully inflated, this is caused by the handle travelling slower than the PC body in the air stream, "dancing" is the critical period, where the PC can hit the bridle and create a solid knot.
3.Pack the PC in properly ( preferably the mushroom type of packing )
Pull sequence
Skydiving:
My opinion is that there is no need to watch the PC during the extraction.
No need for that really. However, if nothing going on for 2-3 second than take a look :o)
BASE
Personal preference . If the head turn is fast and performed with minimum movement of the rest of the body, this will not effect the opening at all.
I always check the PC after pull! It requires just one quick head turn to the right.

hello,
W-suit free fall rate...
After some very basic calculations in this table you can see how wingsuit free fall rate increases with altitude. Calculations were based on following data:
· Air pressure at altitude (from the table)
· Air density at altitude (calculated)
· Free fall rate at 1000 meters (measured)
· Total weight (100 kg)
As you can see, at 12000 meters calculation gave free fall rate of approx. 40 m/s. Because I didn’t have exact data on air pressure on different altitudes, these results could vary up to 25%, particularly on higher altitudes.
So, if you jump from 35000 ft my estimate is that you can expect free fall time anywhere between 350-400 seconds (6-7 minutes). But of course as you know, that also largely depends on your body position, flying skills, total weight and atmospheric conditions (pressure, temperature, humidity, etc).
altitude (m) free fall rate (m/s)
0 ..........................20
1500 ..........................21,2
3000 ..........................23
4500 ..........................25
6000 ..........................27
7500 ..........................29,5
9000 ..........................32
10500 ..........................35,5
12000 ..........................40

hi,
There is more on the way guys.
The new prototype is under intensive test.
The center valve is just one think which is easy to spot.
In short, the new canopy from Atair is designed for the tight landing area and steep approches. (for jumps with slider up and slider down)
As well the other type fo the canopy is under testing for the WS jumps too.
Many new toys are coming soon from Slovenian factories ( canopyes, WS, pants, )

hello,
Felix is the first.
This cave I wanted to jump together with some friends in spring before Felix, but weather condition during the spring was really shity. Later on I had no time and also was limping .
Really embarrassing that foreigner comes and do things in our country first but.....
Few things were really hard to organize for me, such is permit for jumping in to the cave, get enough people in to the cave, medic, transport etc...
Approach to the cave is really shitty and there is also some land mine fields too.
As RedBull has no problem to support F.B.- for him this was much easier.
IMHO, cave is not so demanding.
It is big like hell and only thing which may concern me would be the lending, but I am sure that Australian jumpers would say: ''dog shit easy!!''
Well despite all what is going around Mr. F.B. he did nice job.

Dear Slim,
One day we gonna fly together again! One day you gonna make me laugh hard again! One day we will go hard again as we went this summer.
It is hard to accept that you went to another universe to play w Dwain.
Slim, I am so proud that I had opportunity to spend nice time w you in China. Having dinner and super great time in the piano bar night before you left.
Fly long, fly fast like never before my dear friend
My condolences to Andrea and all Slim's family.

hi,
you mean BUTT sliding landings
Well, not. but I can put extra reinforcement for you. However, PF pants are designed to me worn over the harness. I guess that w tandem PF pants wont be so practical...

The PF pants and jacked were designed so that both items fit comfortably over regular clothes.Especially pants are designed to be very light, gives better flight characteristics and they are light and small pack volume in stash bag too
Zippers are there to make them easy to put on and off.
During the summer time you wear them in stash bag while during the winter time pants give you extra heating .
Bootie hook - is simple and easy to install. Just fold the tab over the shoe lace and close it.
The pants have to be long , way longer than most of people thing it should be. The bootie velcro sandwich can be placed on three different position which gives you easy opportunity in finding the best position for each flight.

....thanks 689,
was not that big issue. just wanted to hear your experience.
We were 4-5 jumpers and were doing mid noon jump. police in funny uniform ( you know which one shows up[;)) came and said: NO!!
It is not problem cause we knew that is temporarily anyway.
Later that day we jumped again w no problem.

one question to base 689.
what is the status of the nice 300m cliff near the terminal wall. the one wich has cute lake on the bottom recently i had problem w the police there. they said: '' not jump the cliff, go away!! '' and they were standing there till were sure we left..
let me know please.

My condolences to his family and friends.

hi,
f.y.i.
...once your wings are pressurized with air, the air stays there regardless of mylar supported ribs.
The pull might be more difficult on this FIRST prototype (what you offer on the pictures) but only because of the bigger wings.

hello,
The Phoenix tracking pants are designed to be used so that leg strap goes under them.
However, They can be worn with leg straps outside, like most of the freefly pants.
Performance with the leg straps outside is not that great as it is when is properly set, but the pants WILL inflate with the air and will have the power to push you in direction you wanna go. The inlets are long and allow enough space for air to come in to them.
One of the top class BASE jumper who is using the PF pants with leg straps outside is Jeb Corliss and he has no problems w that at all.

QuoteWell, the only reason I have is that I have never had the opportunty to take it terminal off of an object. I guess the thought of treminal is terminal never crossed my mind, but why would you want to get slammed when you could always just opt to add a sail slider and slow it down a bit?
Ganja
better go and jump terminal first and than give the suggestion to others.
To jump from the plane first and learn how the NEW canopy work in the air is very good idea, especially when you can keep as close as possible configuration. The mash slider and rolled nose will work super fine and will not kill you or slam you more than on terminal or sub term. base jumps.
Using the sail slider for BASE is bad , very bad idea in general anyway.

No clue. It's just what it says on the older ones (the ones with the sort of bat-looking logo)QuoteQuoteJari and Robi first put their S.U.I.T. (before it was called the Classic) prototypes together.
Acronym? What for?
S.U.i.T. = suit. Even I can't remember what was the story behind those dots. This was on the very beginning though Robi

whatever way you closing the gargoyle or any 2-pin rig will work.
I doing so, that the bridle going from the middle out to the top loop and than to bottom loop. You can also close it ( for low altitude) so that you go from the middle to bottom and than to top loop.
All working very well.
