Just playing with altitude and oxygen ;)

    Any numbers:
    exit at 35.000 ft (10668 m)
deploy at 1000 ft (305 m) with base rig
    distance 13 miles (20909 m)

    glide ratio = 20909 / (10668-305) = 2,02

Normal glide ratio for intermediate ws-skydiver B|

Have you ever done a high altitude (35000ft) WS jump, with oxygen and all the thick clothes on?

Also the reference to ground and speed's are much different in this height'.

  3. I am willing to buy a new Storm 190 and will stuff that chute in a Atom Millenium 0

    Would that fit?

The last chute in this rig was a 190 Electra which packed leanly in. Thats a half ZP, half lopo chute from PdF with 417 cbi (measured after PdF norm!) and 725 spectra lines.

    Thanks

  4. This depends on planform and wingload, but generally, if your are numb, in your harness, you have a tendency to lay you body to one side.

This will cause, especially on elliptical mains, or higher loaded tarp's, a slower, or higher speed spiral or turn to one side.
(more if your brakes already set)

  5. The best sniper in WWII was using an earlier version of this rifle....
He most used only an iron sight!

The unofficial Finnish frontline figure from the battlefield of Kollaa places the number of Häyhä's sniper kills at 542(only within 100 days!).
A daily account of the kills at Kollaa was conducted for the Finnish snipers. Häyhä used a Finnish variant, M/28, of the Soviet Mosin-Nagant....

  6. correct! i.e....

15 years old Atom with 15 years old minimax7 190ft and 249ft RavenIII/7 cell, F111, 18 years old, that flies like a rock crosswinds, and has a build in left turn. no bridle cover(all airworty!)

The only new one is a cypresII, but keep in mind this was a bargain as a second rig ;)

Open corners? I shiftet my POD 90° with the Bridle to stay horizontally upside to the open container.

and make over 100WS jumps in this year.

  7. Here at my home dz we are paying actual 36$ for 11483 feet (3500m) and the prices will never go lower. [:/]

In a few years skydiving will be in the most cases a hobby for higher-income earner.

most of my jump buddies, with over 70 jumps per year are
university graduates or self-employed or make payed jumps.

Turbines will run on bio-diesel. There are already STC conversions putting turbines (Soloy) and diesel (Thielert) engines in Cessnas.

No way to cover the demand without to affect on the food prices.
Starvation in the 3. world would be one result.
