  1. Mischo, missing a good time out in cali, hope things are good at home. 15$ jumps at SSD all summer. Ok, I'm getting off the computer now, not giving up but in an attempt to help free up the server. But I hope it doesn't bite me in the ass. Maybe we should split it up into timezones, with limited slots per zone and rotate it every hour, just an idea. If this starts working please call me someone!! 757-642-1429, base789 , JT thanks all!!!!!
  2. Just got my tandem rating for strong and looking to cross train to other rigs. I'm in san diego for the next month and will then be in Virginia. If there are any TI that can cross train on the sigma or vector rig please let me know. Thanks JT
  3. I'm sorry for stepping on anyones toes. I didn't consider this to be "burning sites " seeing how it is completely legal. When I emailed the SBA about being in there area and asking of any changes they didn't mention it. Just trying to pass on the knowledge
  4. I got the scoop on the smoking hole pants from some norwegian jumpers two weeks ago in Lauterbrunnen, after they saw the first pair I had made with the holes mid thigh, and finished laughing. This design did little more than made my legs cold when I walked. My tracks were well away from the wall but just to the begining of the trees exiting from la mosse. I went home that week, bought a 5 euro(about 7 usd$) pair of rain pants. I burnt 6 symetrical holes(2 rows of 3 about 3/4" apart) on each side of the crotch between where the bottom of the zipper would be and the inseam. Then I ran some cord through the waist band so I could cinch the waist band tight. Keep in mind that these pants are intended to be put on after your rig over your leg straps, so you might want to go up a size or two. Also you don't pull your boots all the way through the foot holes, only about half way and then I used two rubberbands on each boot to secure the legs and create "botties" while holding in the air. Using these new pants I was able to track out to the edge of the trees(field side) which was about 40-50 meters more. Same conditions same exit point, but with the distance I was getting I could make the delay longer and clear the trees. the best 7 bucks I ever spent. "Thanks Johnny B and Ole for your help"
  5. Sorry, actually looking for info about the WS specific rigs, and the pro's and con's to the different pin rigs out there, thanks
  6. Just read the posts and also in the market for a new container. My sf.3 should be in soon and was wondering about the performance of WS specific rigs like the merlin or WS extreme for non-wing suit base jumps and low stuff. I've seen a lot of perigee pro's around lately and just looking for some info from those using them, thanks edit: site naming ~TA
  7. Is the LANC port broke or did the tip of the cam-eye plug break off in it? I had my cam-eye plug tip break off in my port when someone pulled out my PC-5 without disconnecting it. This caused my camera to continuously drain the battery even with it turned off. I only paid 500.usd for the camera and sony repairs have a minimum price of 300.usd(quoted by a friend that had his repaired) So i decided to save some jump money and fix it myself. You will need pliers, very small phillips and flat head screw driver(non-magnetic), piece of notebook paper, and a safety pin, and a small flashlight or head lamp helps a lot. ///// Draw the basic shape of all sides of the camera with the screw placement. You have to remove all external screws, as you remove one place it on the paper in the proper position. this makes reassembly super easy. After the cover is off, look in the area where the back of the plug would be,it is covered by a black tape(almost looks like camera film) use the flat head to lift this up and you should see the back side of the plug. Take the safety pin and use the pliers to bend it almost like a fishing hook. Use this to push the plug out from the back side. reassemble, making sure to replace all the screws in order and do a function check. Hope this helps, if not you someone out there.
