  5. The girl's name in the picture is Allyson. And, surprise, surprise, I don't recall the guy's name. I think they both jump at Skydive Oregon. If it helps at all, the guy was really into some movie titled "Krull". - Chris Norton Thousands of skydiving pictures online
  6. Well actually I was visiting Brad and his wife in their room since we stayed at the same hotel when he mentioned how big the shower was. So as I pulled out my camera, he wrapped a towel around his shorts and stepped in. What could I do? I had to take the picture. - Chris Norton Thousands of skydiving pictures online
  7. Puerto Rico Freefall Fest ===================================== What can I say? I finally made it to the Puerto Rico boogie! Just posted to VividViews.com are 377 pictures from my trip which include an excursion to Vieques, party pictures and, of course, skydiving pictures. The CRW dogs led by Mike Lewis were really tearing up the sky over the shore line. What a view! There are also a few RW shots and some Freefly skydives. Enjoy! VividViews.com Puerto Rico 2005 Postcards are fixed ===================================== In the past, if you tried to use the "Modify eCard" button to edit your postcard after previewing it, either the browser would remain on the preview page or the form would be reset and lose the values you had entered. This has been fixed so you can edit and preview a postcard as many times as you'd like without losing your data. A new feature for postcards is the ability to be notified by email when your recipient picks up the card. Now you can know when your card was read. This feature is enabled by default and only requires a valid email address for the sender (you). Privacy is assured, email addresses are NOT stored. New screen savers are coming ===================================== For my trip to PR, I created several screen savers and gave one of them out on business card size CDs. I will be making these available for download from VividViews.com in the coming weeks. There might be one that automatically updates itself from the web by downloading new pictures as they become available. Or there might be one that allows you to set any screen saver image as your desktop wallpaper. Stay tuned. - Chris Norton Thousands of skydiving pictures online

  9. There are different laws in each US state that apply to this so you'll need to check. Model releases are a good idea as they aid in dismissing any future lawsuit brought about by the person in question without the need for protracted litigation BUT they are NOT necessarily required. In New Jersey, for instance, the law and legal precedents do not require the permission of the subject for photographs or video captured of the person if they were taken in a public place. In this situation there is no expectation of privacy. A drop zone qualifies under this stipulation as it is considered a public place. Further, the video can be used for a profit making venture with no compensation to the subject. A friend and I were sued by another skydiver in 2000 for using footage of them in a video which we sold for profit. This skydiver sued not only both of us, but also the drop zone, the gear store which sold the videos and the third party person who actually shot the footage in question. The skydiver's claim was that they hadn't signed any release. The suit was thrown out as being frivolous and without any cause or merit. - Chris
