  1. I don't know if KeithBar is on Facebook, but I do know he's on here. So Keith (and everyone else), here's the raft dive from this year: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LTFeDGGcGyU&feature=youtu.be For the background on it: Tom organized it, and he carried it out with myself, Ray, Mike, Keith, and Anthony. Mariah and Billy were in the raft. Planned break off was 7,000', and we managed to hold it till just under 8,000'. It was a little (lot) ugly but definitely one hell of a good time! Thanks for making it all happen Chris! "I'm gonna die young, but I'm gonna be a legend." -Ricky Clinton
  2. Search for the helmet cam (really chest cam) footage of the jump. When he was on his back and spinning he stuck one arm out to the side to try and stop it. When that didn't work he tried the other arm, and that stopped the spin so that he could get stable again. EDIT: Here's the link to the video: http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=fa1_1350274678 The spin starts getting bad at 1:05 and you can see him stick his arms out at 1:15. 3. A Reddit user put together a nice video of the highlights of the jump, including some chest cam footage. Here's the link (at least until YouTube decides to take it down http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ES02mWIJ2Tk&feature=youtu.be "I'm gonna die young, but I'm gonna be a legend." -Ricky Clinton
  4. Haha. It was actually leftover material from mom's drapes, but close enough. It was a strong material for the right price, so I can handle the looks
  5. So my first couple of night jumps are coming up soon, and I've been reading up on ways to make myself more visible. I've already got chem lights and a strobe for my helmet, but I wanted to light up my canopy, too. I made a holster for a small AA flashlight to attach to the back of my front (mini) risers. A small loop of rope attaches the holster to the loop at the top of the riser, and a velcro strap holds the bottom flush against the riser. The triangle-shaped "pillow" on the back is designed to angle it out slightly to shine past the slider, and a second velcro strap across the top secures the flashlight from falling out. The holster is packed while attached to the risers so that it can be turned on immediately after opening. Did I miss anything in terms of safety? Once it's open it should work perfectly, but I want to make sure I didn't overlook something it could interfere with like opening, cutaway, etc. I know there's always a danger in adding something to your rig, but I tried to design this with safety as a priority. I attached some pictures to give you a better idea of everything. Thanks for the help! "I'm gonna die young, but I'm gonna be a legend." -Ricky Clinton
