You're right!!! How could I forget Rusty!!! There is something about living out there full time that encourages insanity. I have already warned Stacey - I think he's way past that by now.

Mr. Wright, Just think about the lives that have been changed at Palatka, especially the past residents of the Silver Bullet...David, Mark, Bruce, Jeremy and Erin, countless transient pilots. There is nothing like "livin' the dream" at the dz!

Mr. Wright, Some of our friends are, well, mature? At least we have no grown-ups around. Okay, I'll bring enough cookies for everyone.

We are going to have the Super Otter in Palatka again this weekend (starting Friday)! We had such lousy weather last weekend - not a single load got off the ground. The forecast for this Saturday looks good, so far.....

Swoopie, We never go hungry with you guys around! Hey, how come Sid gets all the surprises?!?

Jeanne, We enjoyed seeing you in Palatka. Come back anytime you are in town for "relative work"!

The AerOhio Super Otter will be back in Palatka for the next couple of weekends. We should have some good weather this weekend - partly cloudy, light winds with a high around 70 degrees! Snowbirds and Nascar fans (we are an hour away from Daytona) - come on out and enjoy the good weather and a great airplane!

The PAC will be at St. Mary's - not too far from the Symposium. It looks like an awesome aircraft. Check it out while it is in the area! And....if you have time, try to come out to Palatka and jump the Otter - it's a terrific jump plane! We have a fun group of jumpers and lots of camping space (and hot showers) if you don't want to spend the big bucks on hotels in Jacksonville. We are about an hour's drive from the Adam's Mark.

Just a reminder - www.1800skyrider.com is another good website following this theme. This past weekend in Palatka I had a tandem ask "how much for gear rental", and another that was wondering why we are not on the 1800Skydive list of participating dz's (she had gotten the name wrong). I've NEVER had a tandem student ask about gear rental! I wonder just how much business they have taken from us. Is there a published list of dz's that do accept these certificates? Just curious to see if any of our Florida drop zones have fallen into the trap.

I hope we will get to see Cara with you in Palatka! I've already heard from several of our friends that will be visiting the area. Sounds like it's time for another barbeque.

Thanks to everyone that came out to Palatka this weekend! The weather was perfect - and it was great to see so many old friends - and meet so many new friends!! The staff did an awesome job - everyone worked together to keep the event flowing smoothly. The aircraft and pilots were fantastic - much thanks to Aire Express for coming through on a moment's notice! There are always a few glitches - but no one seemed to mind too much.... Thanks for a terrific Hog Flop Weekend!!!!
